Rolaid recall-i think im going to be sick

I can't beleive there is another recall. Usually the recalls don't affect me, but this one does.

I have been eating rolaids like crazy over the past 3 weeks. I have also had some stomach pain and nausea.

I got one of the current boxes I was using and it's got the lot number on it that has been recalled. I am probably just being paranoid here, but I don't know what to do.

I am just sick and tired of allthe recalls.

what are you supposed to do with the recalled ones?

They have a form on their website. You give them all of your information and the information from each individual recalled box and then you get a full refund for each box.

ah ok. Thanks, Luckily the rolaids i got arent recalled! I put in the lot number.

I have a total of 9 full boxes and 2 partial boxes of rolaids. ALL OF THEM ARE PART OF THE RECALL. Who knows how many of the boxes I had were recalled...yuk

after you check all your boxes and see how many were recalled id call the service center number on their site and see how to handle numerous boxes. Guess you will be getting alot of moolah back.

Im more worried about the 3 boxes I at in the past 3 weeks. I don't have the other boxes to tell if the were part of the recall. I through them out because they were empty.

MCNEIL CONSUMER HEALTHCARE ANNOUNCES VOLUNTARY RECALL OF ALL LOTS OF ROLAIDS® EXTRA STRENGTH SOFTCHEWS, ROLAIDS® EXTRA STRENGTH PLUS GAS SOFTCHEWS, AND ROLAIDS® MULTI-SYMPTOM PLUS ANTI-GAS SOFTCHEWS SOLD IN THE UNITED STATES



Fort Washington, PA (December 9, 2010) – McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. is voluntarily recalling all lots of ROLAIDS® Extra Strength Softchews, ROLAIDS® Extra Strength plus Gas Softchews, and ROLAIDS® Multi-Symptom plus Anti-Gas Softchews (full product details below) distributed in the United States. McNeil is taking this action following some consumer reports of foreign materials in the product, including metal and wood particles. The company’s investigation has determined that the materials were potentially introduced into the product during the manufacturing process at a third party manufacturer. While the risk of serious adverse health consequences is remote, McNeil Consumer Healthcare advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue use.

While our investigation is ongoing we have suspended production of ROLAIDS® Extra Strength Softchews, ROLAIDS® Extra Strength plus Gas Softchews, and ROLAIDS® Multi-Symptom plus Anti-Gas Softchews and will not restart production until corrective actions have been implemented.

Consumers who purchased product included in this recall should contact McNeil Consumer Healthcare, either at ROLAIDS® Spells Fast Relief or by calling 1-888-222-6036 (Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time, and Saturday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time) for instructions about receiving a refund. Consumers who have medical concerns or questions should contact their healthcare provider.

Any adverse reactions may also be reported to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program either online, by regular mail or by fax.
