It would be funny it it weren't for the fact that, sadly, people got that email and went "oh no, I didn't know that, I will definitely not but that stamp, how awful" and believed every word of that junk - and, as you pointed out, the worst part is that it was sent from this person's work email - making it almost appear as if the company believes this junk! Ugh, I say again!

It alarms me to know so many people who vote based on a belief that email forwards and facebook status updates are legitimate news sources. They have a common theme: "I don't know what any of that means, but it sounds scary and must be bad!"

I meant I have relied on Snopes many times in the past to prove or disprove certain things. I have a cousin who constantly sends me junk like you received so a couple of times I looked them up on Snopes and provided him with the info that said they weren't true. So recently he sent me something supposedly disproving Snopes' accuracy. I don't even remember what it said as it was quickly deleted.

In my first comment, where I said "I got an email a while back that said Snopes wasn't reliable! Has anyone heard/read that?" I meant snopes explained this but can you believe some are saying snopes is not reliable? Then I thought you might feel I was saying YOU were not believable. Thus the 2nd comment, below.

Also, for posting the info in a smaller font - do you have Word? You could paste it into Word, adjust the size, then copy and paste it here from Word.

I'm confused... I posted the Snopes link because it was close enough, and I really can't justify subjecting everyone here to the overuse of comic sans and 13 different colors/font sizes.

But I do realize we don't need Snopes to know this email is circulating. I was not questioning the fact that you (and others) received it.

april fools day, there was some coupon that you had to post a story to your facebook page and you got the coupon to print. i did it and the story was that i got a reward for finding a dog that was worth money. my sister called me thinking it was true wanting to borrow money.
