Lots of people believe in Karma. It isn’t vindictive, but a way of viewing life- that the way you treat life is the way life will treat you. I think most people are just really saying they have no sympathy for her situation since she brought it on herself.

I agree. She acted terrible and had something terrible happen to her. Doesn't make it wrong or right. It is what it is. BUT had she not gone and acted like a total raging maniac, her kids never would have been taken away. This is a really great example of how your actions can have unintended ripple effects.

You have to look at the positive side of karma as well. This is a terrible thing for a family to go through, but this little girl and her family are having things done for them that never would have happened otherwise.
There are a lot of things people just shouldn't do for ANY reason, and making fun of kids is at the top of that list.

Well, that's all good and fine, but my personal belief is treating others how you would want to be treated. Love and mercy are at the top of that list. If the Petkov family are being treated with ill regard too, then what does Karma have for those treating them as such? Seems like being kind and offering suggestions and help out of love would be better Karma for those involved and would stop the bad Karma that will just continue to cycle around. If the Petkov family truly repent and change their ways, what can Karma do for them then if they are doing good instead of bad? And what would Karma have for those who were more understanding and sympathetic than angry and bitter?

lol Well I am treating her how I want to be treated. If I ever taunted a little girl like this, I expect some harsh negative consequences -deservedly so too.

I am not required to embrace her situation with sympathy.

I think she did horrible things, but I'd rather hope for and see her change than something bad happen to her in return.

What about the children of whoever these people are that are egging their house and sending death threats? Personally, I'd be more scared of people who would actually do that than someone photoshopping a picture. Talk about "extremist" type behavior.

It's not just "photoshopping a picture." It's the callousness, the cruelty, the heartlessness. If you can look and say that you don't care if a 7 year old girl is dying. That is just beyond my comprehension and yeah I think it's worse than egging somebody's house.

(I don't think people should threaten her either, just for the record).

For me it's not a matter of "she got what she deserved." In fact, it has nothing to do with punishing her or anything of the sort and everything to do with the fact that because I choose to believe someone that heartless has GOT to have serious issues, it can't be in the children's best interest to live with that kind of hatred. I really hope that she gets some kind of help and I'm serious about that. It bothers me that people can have that kind of hatred and heartlessness, and I truly hope/pray that she can move past that in her life.

I'm not defending her actions toward her neighbors, but her ability to love her own kids despite how she might treat the neighbors.

Relunctantly I have to agree. My ex-neighbour "Cujo" was almost as bad as this chick, but I know she loved her kids. Do I think they should have been taken away, because she was an utter B-tch? No. Maybe manditory intensive family counseling, tho.
BUT, this chick tried to run someone down, and she has to suffer the consequences of that action and if she were to go to jail for it, the kids would need a home. I'm just glad they have a dad to go to.
A loving parent with proper support is always preferrable to "state care"
