Default People who 'think' they can drive but obviously CAN'T!

I was at Giant Eagle a few minutes ago and when leaving I was driving up the aisle of the parking lot and this yahoo cuts diagonally across the parking spaces (she would have had to drive about 25 more feet to actually correctly turn down the aisle) right in front of me, which made me stop so she wouldn't hit me, and then has the absolute nerve to yell out the window at me! I'm like 'Hey lady, I'm in the road, where are you?!!' She was hollering something I couldn't hear as she pulled in the handicap spot (no plate, no mirror hanger….).

Now I know I should ignore her ridiculous tush because obviously she was driving recklessly (by going through the parking space) but it just pisses me off that she obviously thought she had the right of way. It seriously makes me question the validity of some people's drivers' licenses (as in, do they really know the rules/laws of driving and should they have passed their exam???)….

lol! i swear everytime my dh drives, people like this come out of the woodwork!. he gets the old ladies with blue hair that go 20mph in front of him or that pull out from a parking lot in front of him...he gets the old guy that decides at a stop light to back up into my dh (yup really happened)...then the guy drove off and dh had to follow him and finally the guy stopped at a gas station.....or the lady counting money in her front seat as she drives weaving in the roadway into oncoming traffic and back (last week).

...and lets not forget the ones who are distracted by texting and talking on their cells.

Almost every driver does that here. They will actually go down a aisle and then drive through to the other side and sometimes even cross the aisle and continue across. It drives me crazy!! Basic drivers ed 101. I even had someone wave me through one day - they just assumed I was pulling through to the spot in front of me!

Not completely relevant but reading these reminded me of these "parking tickets" you could purchase to leave on people's vehicles. One that I liked said something like: "Did you park like this by accident or are you just a jerk?" Sometimes when I see a vehicle that is taking up 2 spots so no one can touch their pristine baby I remember that one.

Again, not truly relevant but yesterday my youngest and I were driving to a doctor's appointment and all the lanes of traffic had stopped. A lot of people obviously thought "waiting is beneath me, I'll just drive on the shoulder as far as I can and then force my way in." I think anyone who would do this has to be a real butt.

There's a website that's pretty funny, they have a gallery of people who park ...bad. It's 'youparklikean a-hole.com' but spell that last bad word out all the way. There's some talent on there. Plus they have notices you can print off to leave on people's cars and stuff.

When I was in college fifteen years ago there was a chick who always seemed to arrive at a full parking lot the same time I did every morning. She always arrived 10-15 seconds later than I did, and I would usually get the last parking place. She would be forced to drive to a parking lot further away and walk. I was never agressive...I was usually exiting my car by the time she even got there.

I started getting preprinted little "parking tickets" full of expletives every time this happened. After about two weeks of her love notes, I made a sign on posterboard that said in big black letters "GET UP EARLIER" and put it under her wipers.

    The notes stopped.

I think a lot of people drive the way they live life-- as if they are the most important person in the world/on the road, and to hell with everyone else. I don't think it's a matter of not knowing the rules or even basic courtesy. I think it's a matter of not caring.

I agree to an extent. I think the others are just bothered by having to press 1…..
