Default Graphic photo posted on Facebook

I was looking at FB tonight and there was a graphic, bloody photo of an "aborted" fetus posted with a tear-jerk "Dear Mommie" letter. I am sorry, but I feel that was totally inappropriate. I keep my religious, political and other opinions off FB and don't want to be exposed to stuff like this. I unfriended this person immediately.

Just wanted to fuss a bit.

Yulk, I would have unfriended them too! Gross. I think it is OK to post a little personal religious political stuff on facebook but that is taking it too far.

before unfriending them...you should report the picture to Facebook...they can then take it down.

Why should they take it down? Facebook photos link to PEOPLE and you have to either be friends with the person or search for them and specifically look up their pictures. If people don't want to see it, they can "unfriend" the person or hide their posts. Reporting a picture like that is taking it too far IMO.

Because Facebook wants you to report pictures that are in appropriate.

    From Facebook:

How do I report an abusive photo?
You can anonymously report photos that violate our Statement of Rights..

Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (e.g., pornography) by clicking on the "Report This Photo" link in the bottom right corner below the picture. Facebook reviews these complaints and takes down photos as necessary.

The rule they broke: You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

It's the 7the rule under Safety.

I realize loaslean...it is common place for you to look at bloody pictures of aborted fetuses...the rest of us do not.

Facebook just takes the picture down...not call...the picture police on them.

You can look at pictures all day long of bloody aborted fetuses,...but Facebook does not want them on there website...so keep them to yourself please.

Actually, depending on your settings and who commented on the photo, that would appear in friends of friends{FoF} news feeds. That's why I had to unfriend someone the other day. She[my friend} made a comment, her friend commented back and it turned into a discussion between FoF and her man{these are grooowwwn people mind you} they went back in forth with the sexual innuendo and when it appeared in my news feed I teased her about TMI{cus really, I don't want to know what you all did with an ice cream bar.....eeewww} FOF's boyfriend tore a strip off me, because how dare I reprimand his lady about what's on her page...wth ..it's in my flippen news feed people?!

Don't blame ya. I will admit I'm pretty much pro-life but this kind of thing has always crossed the line IMO. Right along with the trucks that go thru towns with the same pics. on their sides.
HELLO!!! Alot of people have kids and don't want them seeing this kind of thing.
As for my religious views, while I'm honest and upfront about being a Christian, and will post my opinons based on my faith...I try not to push. Nobody gets into Heaven by being beat over the head with a Bible, ya know?

Yes, exactly. I suspect that a lot of the same folks who support those trucks with graphic images are the ones who complain that they don't want to have to explain to their children why two men or two women are holding hands or kissing or why that woman's breast is in that baby's mouth.

    HUH?

Other people can see our stuff, even if they're not friends?

    I'm confused...
