I was in WalMart tonight, my dh and I were near cosmetics when I noticed some guy creeping around the end cap. He was peaking through the shelving at a couple young ladies. I kept watching him and he was acting sooooo creepy, lurking around and dodging their line of sight when they would turn his way. After observing for a short while, I became alarmed by his suspicious behavior and approached the ladies to warn them. They said thank you, looked around and went about their business, as did I. After picking up the items I needed, we walked back by the cosmetics and sure enough, there was creeper, stalking the girls again. So, I went back up to them and told them they should have security escort them out, just to be safe. I left the ladies, walked down an adjacent isle and the lurker was approaching me and got in my face. Asking if I knew those girls, I said no, do YOU? Then I proceeded to give him a piece of my mind about his pervy behavior........he pulled a badge, he was an under cover security and the nice ladies had been shoplifting makeup! Security man was not happy with me at ALL. What would you have done?

tell him he should of been acting like security and not a pervy girl watcher. and how were you to know. maybe he should be viewing from the camera system them have. it is better and gets it all on tape

LMAO! I would have asked him if Walmart always encourages their security staff to behave like pedophiles… You tried to protect the girls and that is all that counts. I mean it sucks they were under suspicion of stealing - but for all you know, they weren't and the LP just profiled them….

I would have done the same thing too, but I do know that Walmart has been hiring people to watch for shoplifters like that. I think it is awesome that you were willing to stand up for those ladies when you thought he was a perv.

there was nothing you could have done differently. they hire people to pretend to shop to watch shoplifters. He shouldnt be acting like a perv but be on that aisle pretending to shop! I would tell the csm or something that one of their security people is creeping people out. My mom works for walmart and i know some of the security, their job is to pretend to shop while wathcing people not peek through shelves like they wanna rape them! At the least go to the csm's and apologize to them about the situation. just say their security was acting very pervish and it made you uncomfortable.

Is it OK to laugh? Because I found this hilarious and I am completely certain that it would happen to me. I would have totally done the same thing too. You never know who's a creep and we need to look out for each other. Did they get caught for stealing, or was it too late since you warned them about security...I'm sorry, this just has me snickering. You did the right thing. (I can't stand shoplifters, BTW)

If this guy *had* been a total creeper, you'd of felt better knowing you helped keep the girls safe.

He was doing his job, yes...and you were listening to your intuition, don't let his anger make you doubt yourself.

P.s. the cameras at walmart (and many other places) are often not continually running, if at all.

Oh my goodness!!!!! I have to laugh because I would have done the same thing and told the girls...if they were having someone watch them, instead of a pedophile looking man, why don't they use a woman that wouldn't look out of place in the make up aisles?!?!??!? I would have told him if he didn't look like such a creeper, I wouldn't have been so worried about the young girls well being!
