That was my thought earlier in the week, untiiil....yesterday when the carrier told my DH that there was a letter at her station that said to deliver NO mail to us, no matter what the address. Hubby spent all day on the phone with numerous PO officials and a couple of folks at the tax office. They (tax folks) say that WE are 104 and the neighbor is 108. The county sets the addresses, not the PO.
Neighbor lady says the PO told her SHE would be 104 (years ago). The county guy said he is going to call the PO folks on Monday and get this straightened out since he also thinks this is beyond ridiculous.
To add insult to injury, the Officer in Charge (Postmaster is on Military Leave), pretty much flat out told hubby yesterday that they were holding our mail and tough. However, it turns out that they DON'T have the mail there at the PO--they have just sent it back. So my Netflix, mags and rebates/samples/Q's that may have come in the last 2 weeks are just gone..poof. AND, I can't even contact Netflix and have them re-send since the carriers have been told not to deliver ANY mail to us at all.
<sigh> Hubby tells me that he thinks the county will have it straightened out Monday but I don't have much faith in that. I don't think we'll ever get our mail "right" again because, despite the fact that it sounds like conspiracy theory, they really are out to get me. All because I didn't want them writing on my mail and because a carrier decided that my address should be "A."
Ziva: Drip it!
Ducky: Do you mean drop it or zip it?
Ziva: American idioms drive me up the hall!
The carriers get paid by the pieces not by the addresses they deliver too! That carrier doesn't know what they are doing! As far as not getting my mail, i would call and make a complaint to the national post master that you aren't getting your mail because of a problem with the local postmaster and let them deal with it! I had a problem with mail getting torn up before i got it, so i complained and we had a new mail carrier in days!
