BTW, "normal" was their word not mine. I hate that word when pertaining to people. I'd rather be slightly irregular than normal.

I really do feel sorry for this boy. Apparently DCFS has even investigated and found no evidence of abuse or neglect. One of these days I have a feeling I'll open the newspaper to read something sad about this boy.

When I was managing apartments I had a mom that sounds similar...her children were not aggressive ever...but just behind and delayed...and it was kind of obvious to everyone but her . The school wanted them in special ed services with an IEP (but they would still be in there regular ed classes just with extra help) and she refused and pulled them out. and homeschooled them. Apparently video games do a great job of homeschooling while your at your full time job and the kids are home alone

I called DCFS.... nothing.

I called when the house was disgusting..think hoarders. DCFS did nothing...wouldn't even come...said the kids were old enough to know to not eat the filth off of the floor. The kids had to climb onto a pile of junk about 5 feet tall to get into there bedroom . DCFS didn't care.

DCFS can force parents to get appropriate education for there children or get the help that there children need...but sometimes I think they are just too dang lazy.. And yup what happens when they are 14. I kept thinking the same with that woman's kids. What happens when they are 18 and have no education .
