Banned from Smartsource

Getting ready for super doubles, so I'm printing out all the different printables that I think I'll use.

I get this message from the SS printables

Your access to print from this site has been disabled. Please contact Compliance@newsamerica.com to enable it. You must mention code xxx in your email. For further information on why you received this message click here..

So I follow all the steps to find out what is going on, I finally get a response:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting us.

The most likely reason you are receiving this message is someone copied one or more coupons printed from this computer. That is a violation of the expressed legal terms printed on all coupons.

It may not have been you or someone in your household. Coupons are handled by many people as they are processed. Unfortunately sometimes "malredemption" occurs. A quick Internet search will provide numerous articles on retailers being caught attempting to "work the system".

In order to protect the brand we have placed a temporary hold on printing from this computer. If you feel this hold is in error - perhaps caused by someone after you redeemed the coupon - please send an email to webmaster at smartsource.net. The error message should include a code. It is important that you include that code in your correspondence. The subject line MUST READ "Printing Disabled Help".

Now they come out and say in their email that it's more than likely someone down the line and not me. So why am I being banned? I don't misuse coupons, I only print 2 of each one. I don't even go to other computers to get additional printings. The only time I do print out coupons is when HT does triples or SD

I am so I haven't gotten a response from SS website - the last email addy that I was given.

Anyone else having this issue?

No. I do send out expired ones to military moms, but my last shipment was Feb.

That's crazy then. The only thing I can suggest is printing from another computer or train for the IP's since SD starts Wednesday. I'm sorry this happen to you.

I guess I take over son's computer tomorrow.

Now I feel like I'm doing what they are accusing me of, by using another computer to print the coupons. I don't have time to do trades this late.

I did tell them in my last (fourth email to a different place) that I'd let the manufactures know that I am not buying their products because of SS's ban - with SS's note attached saying that it was probably not me, but other people using the coupons fraudulently.

It still irks me that they'd write that, but still punish the innocent party in this. If they know where the fraud is at, then go after them!

Wow!! I'm sorry this happened to you! But on another note, I'm sure glad they are researching fraudulent prints hopefully they can figure out where it happened in the process after you have talked to them. It will sure make me think twice on trading or giving my IP's away. I hope you get it fixed or find another puter before your Weds shopping trip :)

I noticed it said "retailers being caught trying to work the system". I wonder if the grocery stores are copying them to be reimbursed for more than their fair share.

No emails from them, but suddenly I can print SS coupons again.

Maybe it had to do with the emails quoting their policy and requesting information because I have the right to know if the store I'm using is defrauding coupons, so that I can shop at another store.

eh, whatever the reason was . .

I can print SS coupons in time for SDs!

OH MY how awful and embarrasing. I would hate to be accused of coupon fraud.
