Default Sick of the neighbor's NON-STOP barking dogs

Just like the title says, I am sick of the neighbor's non-stop barking dogs.
If I can hear them in my house while watching TV or trying to sleep can they not hear them? It is such a nuisance. Sitting here typing I hear three of them going at it full force.

I need a solution and quick before I shoot the neighbors and put them out of my misery . (no real threat intended here, just blowing off steam, I don't even own a gun which is probably a good thing for the dogs and the neighbors )

    Any ideas people?

Report them to animal control for sure.

Go over and ask the neighbors to quiet down their dogs, if you are comfortable doing that.

Call the non-emergency number for your local police and report them. They'll come out and handle the dirty work for you. =)

Already been there done that with animal control

Already visited the neighbors at 3 a.m. after the 4th night of non-stop music to which they replied " I don't hear anything." Are they serious? They have to be deaf.

Hate to bother the police but seems like we will have to take some agressive action to get some peace and quiet. Really hate to have neighbors that hate me but I'm fed up. They have only lived there for a year I've been here for 18. Other neighbors in the area have called me complaining about them too. But, it looks like I'll be the one to get my hands dirty.

Get the neighbors to call too. If enough people call and complain maybe they'll do something about it.

I live in a crap neighborhood, but the cops and animal control seem much more interested in checking out rowdy dog complaints when I'm not sure whether or not there's dog fighting or some other horrific abuse involved. After some negative publicity about such matters in my area, they take complaints involving such potential activities much more seriously. Not so much, "my neighbors' dogs won't shut up."

Of course, in my neighborhood, there's a decent chance that someone actually is doing something like that.

Sorry to hear your neighborhood is bad. Mine is actually nice, I just keep getting crappy neighbors right beside me.

There are freestanding (not a collar, similar to a baby monitor)sonic bark control units that will emit a sonic frequency in response to a barking dog. It is usually enough to stop the barking, use it at high frequency first few times and then you can lower it. After they experience the sonic sounds a few times at high they don't even want to "go there". Unfortunately that is not going to work if you have pets.

You can find these at Petsmart or Petco, they are not that expensive. Might help if the neighbor is unwilling to remedy the problem.

i wondered about those cupunlver. they have them that look like a birdhouse. if i remember correctly they have to be positioned near and best if pointed towards the problem. have you used them? i wonder how good they are.

the police are there for the non stop disruptive behavior of neighbors. especially if you have city ordinances. in my city, if the police are called after 10pm til 6am, it is just cause for them to right a ticket if they hear music/dog barking/loud noises. if they take it to court, the judge just has to hear it was between that time and the officer heard it. nothing needed from neighbors.

call the non emergency number in your local city and report it when you hear it. let them know if you want to be seen (talk to the officer) or not seen (anonymous)... you never know, your neighbors might have other issues that the officers need to take care of.

I've seen the birdhouse bark stoppers. The package says it works up to 50 ft. Afraid that will only affect one or two of the five dogs.
