OMG I HATE my trashy neighbors

I've posted before about the IDIOT TRASH that lives in my neighborhood. I left the house 5 hours ago........ I took my kiddos out for some jumping and running........then I took the little boy that I babysit to his TBall game.......... I come home to find that the TRASHY MORON IDIOTS have (for the 2nd time in as many weeks) wrecked my fence in the front yard. It's a little inexpensive fence to keep my little ones safe from the said IDIOTS that drive like maniacs. It's hurting nobody........but they have pushed and bent the metal fence posts back to almost a 45 degree angle. DH fixed it once.... and he can probably fix it again...but why....so they little brats can do it again. Sadly we have no HOA.... so far I've been able to find zero witnesses as to which part of the brat pack did it.

I HATE living around such low class TRASH. My darling DD5 wants so badly to have a friend that she can just run outside and play with....but that can't happen because they all have potty mouths and cuss and scream from the age of 3 around here.

Can't think of a thing to do about the fence situation.... If I had the money I'd build a 4 ft. cement wall........but then again....if I had the money I'd sell the house and move near some HUMANS.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh............... This has been such a horrrrrible day............. The 5 yr. anniversary of my mom's death........ I've been doing everything possible to stay occupied and distracted and then this............. It's times like this that it's a really good thing they have the waiting time "cool down" period for buying a gun........something large and fully automatic sounds just perfect tonight............. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

My neighbors suck too. We're looking into the 6 foot tall semi-privacy fence just to keep them out of our business. We have one super awesome neighbor, but the others have been giving us fits about everything from our dog to the height of the trees in our yard to how many friends (that would be two) we had over on a Friday night. We have no HOA, but the city environmentalist did get involved at one point based on a false report that we had let our "fence row vegetation run wild". Uh, we don't have a fence. It belonged to the neighbor that actually reported it. Why? She didn't want to clean up her vegetation herself so she reported us for the violation since the fence runs along the property line. Apparently she thought she could make us clean up her mess.

I wish I had some advice as to what to do with the neighbors, but check craigslist or freecycle for someone looking to get rid of fencing. Its actually how I got rid of portions of our 6ft privacy fence we are planning to replace. It was in good shape but just needed cleaned up and painted/stained - the cost of painting/stain and some concrete to reset the posts is much cheaper than a whole new fence. Good luck!

I can sympathize (probably spelled that wrong) with you. My husband's gm gave us some land on her property. At the time she had a family renting a single wide on the adjacent property. They moved out, and she didn't rent it out for a while. Then she rented it to drug dealers with 4 pits. I have not problem with pits, we've had them, and have one currently, but these were kept in 5x10 lots, and got very aggressive when we got near their lots. They barked all night long because people were coming in all night long. Finally, the worst of the 4 got out, and came and growled at my kids. Hubby pretty much told his gm she had better kick them out, or the dog would be dead, she kicked them out. Then she rented it out a month or so after they moved out to some theives. They finally moved out about 2 months ago. They came back one night and stole about $800 of my hubby's equipment for his part time tree cutting business. Couldn't prove it's them, but we have not doubts. I'm nervous about who she will rent to next. The trailer really should be condemned, the walls are seperating from the walls, the floors are falling through, the toilet is a few inches below floor level. If we could, we'd just go push it over, but it's family.

Good luck to the OP, and I agree with the PP about checking Craig's list. That's how we got our chainlink fence and gaits. We only had to buy the post, connectors, and concrete.

ugh if i had neighbors like that id go nuts! Luckily our neighbors around here are super nice. Mostly elderly people. my neighbors husband has video cameras etc set up. they can see all the way to the end of our street! He passed away last august though but his wife is still there. Anyone does anything we will know who! If we lived there my husband woulda already been to their house to scream at them! lol. Just the kind of person he is.

You have to do what is best for your kids and if they aren't safe there you should really consider the costs of moving and either renting out that house or selling it.
Just a thought. Good luck and I'm sorry for the loss of your mom.

We live in a bad neighborhood also. Are these hoodlums under 18? Could you borrow a survelience camera and set it up so you can catch them on film? A picture is worth a thousand accusations. Maybe they will move. The bad guys in our neighborhood never stay for over 6 months. Then they leave the property in such disrepair that it takes months for the owners to rent to someone new. The house next door has been vacant for more than a year. The one on the other side was foreclosed on and has been repaired and is now on the market for sale at a ridiculous price. It has also been vacant for more than a year.
On a side note, we had a problem for several months with someone knocking down our mailbox. Hubby finally lowered the pole and put it into concrete. A baseball bat will NOT knock it down. Someone will get hurt by trying.
As to the potty mouth kids-do not lower your standards and let your kids play with them. Kids tend to pick up bad habits from their peers. I once had a kid tell my kid that he needed to be breaking out some windows and that he should never listen to any adults. He was also told that noone wanted to hear him play his guitar-that he was bad. My kid no longer associates with these kids. He continues to play his guitar a public and private functions. My kid does not break windows or ignore adults.

Mcleodsc....not a chance on the lowering of my standards....... We've talked about it and she'll pipe right up and tell you that she can't play with them because they don't behave and are mean to each other.

yes, I am fairly sure that the monsters in question are under 18........sadly trashy parents raise trashy kids!

My only suggestion is to leave a burning bag of poop on their doorstep. Why not? They'll think some of their trashy friends did it. I have two big dogs, and therefore lots of poop in my yard, if you need help.
