I am SO sick of people bragging on this site about shelf clearing!!

Well, I'm prepared for the feedback, but have been stewing for a while now.
I love that we all help each other find deals here. It's a great way to see things that are free or REALLY cheap that I'd otherwise miss. However, people need to A) stop being a frigging hog, making it impossible for me to find anything in my store, and/or ('cuz THAT'S not gonna happen) at the very least B) stop bragging about it, you really shouldn't be so proud of yourself.
I went to a supermarket that shall remain nameless tonight after a long 13 hour day. I really didn't want to make the trip, but it was such a great deal, so I forced myself. Needed to get a specific item for a BBQ this saturday that was on sale and a bunch of other stuff...Lo and behold, none on the shelf. So I go on the forum for that supermarket to ask if anyone was able to find them, and there's a poster bragging how she got a billion for free.
I am really tired of this nonsense. It happens everywhere, CVS, Walgreens, etc. BTW< the purpose is to get you in the store to buy other stuff, not for the store to fill your stock pile. I'm sure the stores I go in to would like to know that I drop a basket of stuff or srap my shopping list when I can't get the special that lured me in to the store.
That's my rant.

I'm sorry for you. I used to be upset about it. Most on this site will basicially say in an nutshell sucks to be you. They will say its no ones business what they do with it. Also they will say they may be donating to a shelter or needly families. also first come first serve. I give up caring. Usually a sale will repeat if not I'll buy it regular price.There was a time in my life when I never used a coupon so I'll live if I dont get a deal. People are doing what they have to do due to job loss ect. also.

The purpose of a loss leader is to a.) get you into the store and/or b.) get rid of something. No telling what the reason is when they hold the sale because they don't advertise it as "hey help us get rid of this stuff!" they just put it on sale. Most couponers don't play by the stores rules about how we are supposed to buy 1 or 2 things at the loss leader price and then pay full price for everything else. No we cherry pick and grab the loss leaders and specials from many stores and we purchase in bulk. We use coupons to pay the least amount of money possible and we build a stockpile. That is the whole purpose of this site. Stockpiling is the key. What my stockpile is and what your stockpile is are two different numbers. I have a large family, you may have a small family. I may want to buy 10 of something, or I may buy 50 if I have the coupons.

The early bird DOES get the worm. If you miss out on a sale, then next time you either need to 1.) get there earlier 2.) get a raincheck 3.) have them special order you some or 4.) pay full price.

Did ya get a raincheck? I actually prefer rainchecks cause it gives me awhile to get more coupons so I can clear the shelf REAL good. LOL! J/K. I know it's frustrating, but it's just tough for many right now. Many do resell their stuff & that may be the extra bit of income they need to make ends meet. And if they're doing it out of pure greed, I promise you that it'll all come back to them one day.

It is very frustrating, so I (and I'm sure others) do understand how you feel. I know that if I am looking for a good deal, I have to pack up my little guy and go, so if I get there and there is nothing left, it's frustrating. I never clear the shelves, while it's tempting to do so, I never have done it. Simply b/c someone may really need that item, for whatever reason. I know what is in my stockpile, and I know that I don't ''need'' 10 of something, but more 'want' them. So I leave some on the shelves. Everyone is different. Sorry you're so frustrated

Been there, done that. I like to wait to hit my drugstores on Saturday night. That usually means I'm trying to reconfigure my scenarios on the fly. But that's my own fault.

Believe it or not, yes.
Also, to those who say get a raincheck, some stores that give $$ off your next order from a cat don't have the capacity to do so.

I guess if you need that item, you will have to go to the food bank to get it because that's what most shelf clearer say they do with their freebies like that.

btw, I do get in on great deals will come close to shelf clearing if it's something I can use.

anymore there are certain stores that i expect not to find any sale items. target is one of them...i thought by going in on the day the new coupons hit the site and all the deals were posted i would be able to get my two coupons. nope. they were cleaned out. i might go back again this week and try again...but normally i just dont bother.
cvs is the other store. they never have anything and i can pretty much expect to have to get a raincheck.
walgreens, if i dont do the few or so deals i want on sunday, and the deals are good, i can expect them to be gone by tuesday. i have to plan accordingly.
it does stink, but unfortunately it happens.

Everyone gets frustrated if they go to a store specifically for one item and that item is gone. but I think that one day it might be my turn, the next day it might be yours. That's life.

I guess I don't have time to be that worried over such an insignificant problem.
