I dress professionally.
Jeans and a polo (casual Friday type)
Whatever I happen to be wearing as I'm passing by the business.
Anything goes.
I think pressed jeans and nice shirt, as a teacher I could never just stop by and give a resume, they are always mailed with phone call checks. I think at most places a casual Friday look is acceptable. Clean, pressed, make-up, hair neat. etc.. Save the professional dress for the interview. My line of thought is ( depending on the type of business) you want them to see that even your casual look can come across as "professional" Most of the business would have a casual type dress code.
Just my two cents
