and still there are those that are opposed to health care reform, I don't get it :shrug7:

if the government had canceled the policy people would be screaming civil rights violation, but since it is a private-for-profit business then its capitalism, so its ok?

I don't understand why there is such resistance to government becoming involved in healthcare insurance practices, we are being bulldozed now by the private insurance companies.

I saw this earlier. I can't believe there are people out there who support this behavior.

We are all apalled at the girl who killed the old lady with no remorse, but we defend these people?

    Sick.

The silence for this thread speaks volumes in itself. Just wait until the unexpected illness hits. Then we'll hear complaining.

This should scare the crap out of people.

It absolutely should scare people. If you really think your on a fair playing field as long as you pay your premiums your dead wrong. And they get away with it...because esp with cancer patients...they either are dead...therefore cannot fight it...or trying to stay alive...and don't have the energy to fight it.

IMO they should start throwing in prison behavior like this form the upper manangement...that would cure then pretty quick..

Makes me wonder if my husbands first job in Kansas City had something like this...we do know that the medicaid office had noticed that the only people laid off from that company were ones that had serious chronic illnesses that the families were dealing with.

That is crap. I've always wondered how health insurance companies can get away with these types of practices. It really makes me angry.

My DD was born with two heart defects that could mean open heart surgery before she is 5 years old. I worry that our insurance will balk at paying for it if we ever get to that point because it would be so costly. They've not balked yet at all her cardio appointments and testing, but I worry that it's only a matter of time before we have to fight them.
