Sorry folks! I love the white stuff. It's nature's way of reminding us to slow down, smile, breath in, relax. Unless you're curing cancer or affecting the fate of the free world, it doesn't matter. Not to mention, the flowers and vegetables will be beautiful this summer. The earth needs the slow-melting snow to nourish herself.

So have a cuppa tea (or coffee or cocoa), pull up a seed catalog and dream.

We're in for it here in Maryland too, actually we're getting it right now! We had 26+ inches this weekend and our area (Cecil County) is in for another 15-20 today. My house is clean and I'm in the process of going through my closets and putting things on ebay! Of course, I've had a hard time getting items out, b/c it's been difficult getting to the post office. Fortunately, everyone's been very understanding about the delayed shipping. I work within the local school system and it looks like I'll be teaching into July at this point. Oh, well-there's really nothing that can be done, so as long as the power stays on we'll be OK!

I am ducking from all the snow balls, we do not see the pretty white stuff here all we have had is rain. I am sick of the rain, so ready for warmer weather. The sun is out today but the wind will knock you down.

I can't figure out how to edit my post! What I wanted to say was I've had enough of this. Not only am I stuck inside with my child......my husband has been laid off about 2 months now......I'm stuck at home with him here!!!!

Where I am in MD we got 2.5 feet over the weekend and have been snowed in since Thursday night/Friday morning. We have managed a very scary trip to the grocery store which has remained open with a skeleton crew of employees. Our roads are terrible and pretty much impassable. I can't even tell how much we've gotten last night/today but there is at least a foot of snow on our truck that was cleaned off yesterday.

It's really taken its toll on me. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis which is flaring up like crazy right now from the weather, and I also have some sort of chest cold or sinus infection which I can't get out to go to the doctor about. We ended up having to call the paramedics last night because there is so much congestion in my chest that my heart is beating irregularly.
