So frustrated with health problems --overwhelming everything :(

Okay, well after the last couple of weeks I have and then today on top of it all I am due for a rant.

Last week I ended up in the hospital overnight because I had to have two back molars removed and he idiots gave me medication I was allergic to ! Not to mention that when they played with my medications my blood sugar as I'm diabetic ended up out of control and I ended up in DKA. So after copaious amounts benadryl, insulin, fluids and a nights stay in the hospital I was feeling a little better and just now am getting back to eating solid foods.

So my day didn't really start off any better this morning as the idiots down the hall working with drywall and grout set the condo buildings alarm off, so that meant we all needed to evacuate the building until the fire department could confirm. So, I buckle the dogs into their harness's, and go wait do the end of the hall near the stairwell so the firefighters know I'm in the building and IF there is a fire can get me out since I can't use the steps since I'm in a wheelchair and elevator is a No No in a potential fire. So, I wait 10 minutes and finally a fire fighter comes down the stairs and looks at me like "what are you doing in here ?" I then proceed to tell him that I was waiting as they told me to when we fiqured out an evacuation plan -again he looked at me like I had three heads. He finally said it was false alarm and he'd send the chief down to speak with me. I go back to my unit and wait--finally the chief comes and says he knew I was in the building as my neighbor Jane had told him and it must have been a miscommunication that I hadn't had someone come tell me sooner or someone to stay with me while they fiqured things out just in case. So frustrated I say I understand, we work out the plan again and I am so mad but decide to let it go. Not worth the fight as he had corrected it and noted it in the buildings file.

As some of you know I am in a wheelchair paralysed from the waist down so today I go to the doctors to drop off a urine sample to see if I have a UTI. All to common in people in wheelchairs, and with diabetes. They take the sample and run it against all the types of antibiotics and guess what it is resistant to every antibiotic that is offered through pill form and I'm not allergic too--so that means I got to spend time in the ER getting my first large dose of IV antibiotics. Then I get to take a medication for 5 days that makes me itchy, and sick to my stomach with a handful of bendryl to hopefully avoid the side effects most likely.

They also found out I have an underactive thyriod a few weeks ago, and took more blood to see if the meds are working but I really think they need to increase the dose as I am so tired lately, having unpredictable periods, and just not feeling like myself. I hope they fiqure that out ASAP. :(

I am in so much back pain from the UTI, and feel sick to my stomach. I just want to curl up into a tiny little ball and not move. I feel like I have spent more time sick lately then not. It is so frustrating not to feel well. My house is a mess, laundry is backed up, ugghh ... it's just not my month :(

Sorry for the long rant or long whine whatever you want to consider it. I am just so frustrated and want to feel better. I want one full day where I feel great and nothing goes wrong :( Is this possiable ?

I am so sorry! I ranted myself recently too. It is one thing to deal with type 1 diabetes. All the things that go with it is just mind numbing and can really throw someone for a loop! I think we've woke the community up a bit about this disease.

I am allergic to many antibiotics. I completely understand.

I would be a little nervous about the fire department though. Maybe after you feel better, J and yourself can do something to make sure that does not happen again.

If there is anything I can do, please let me know!

Hugs to you! Doctors make me so mad. As of now mine keep pushing back my gallbladder surgery and I'm in so much pain. I hope things get better for you!

Thanks Everyone. I feel a little better today after sleeping in most of the morning today. Just so frustrating to be sick, and not see the light at the end of the tunnel.

When your sick everything seems must worse I suppose--and right now everything looks pretty awful from this view :(

Hugs to you and I am so sorry you are having to go through all of this. Praying for you to feel better. I understand that UTI pain. I have had lots of them and have very damaged kidneys. But, nothing compared to the problems you are having. Hope you feel better soon
