| Re: No more RR at one store in Houston Yes, I have had similar thing happen to me. We have a store in a rich section that did this to me last year. They have a sign up that says 1 rr per person. I was actually asked to leave by the co manager and to take my coupons elsewhere. No I wasn't loud, obnoxious or causing a problem. I just asked why I couldn't pay for my next transaction with my rr - because the cashier was doing it and a busy body co worker on a personal call....and was telling my cashier she couldn't do it. After I complained to corp 4 times and never got a call back.... Yep, kept on complaining and complaining...My local store finally called about it..... 6 weeks later I was later called by the store manager and was told I was not asked to leave that I mis understood the manager on duty,,,,and the co manager was upset that I was "staging". I had 10 deodorants and had another basket I was planning on buying that had toothbrushes in it. UMMMM yeah - don't go into a store to buy something....LOL He said it is not corporates intent for "people like me" to buy something and turn around and buy something else and get another rr. He aslo said he knew me....- nope, not me and I told him that. He asked that I come back in and talk. Why? That would be a waste of my time. He is closed minded - I have never been in that store before or after that incident. IMO, there are too many nice wags that want the business (with in 30 minutes of me) to mess with a store like that. OP I would call corp then I would call catalina. Between the 2 of them - that should fix getting the rr back. Then tell sil to find a nice wags. There are bunches of them.

| Re: No more RR at one store in Houston I've never heard of such a thing. IF that SM is stating that, s/he should be ready to lose a LOT of business.
Your SIL can ask for a refund. I'm not sure how they will handle it, since she paid with RRs and the transaction has already been completed. She may or may not get her RRs back, but she should get a refund, possibly in the form of a W card (gift card with store credit).
I would suggest that she contact her District Manager and get some clarification for herself, as well as that store manager. Sounds odd to me.

The problem is standing in line and checking out several times. I saw someone post yesterday that they did over 30 transactions...at once. They definitely notice that. I think we will see more stores start to do this. Be careful or you may cut off the hand that feeds you. | Exactly! There's alot to be said for "flying under the radar" and not drawing negative attention to oneself.
I'm not saying that's what the OP's SIL did, but just a general statement/reminder to everyone.

| Re: No more RR at one store in Houston My question is did the RR print out and they didn't give them to her or did they not print out at all? If they printed and they refused to give them to her, threaten to file theft charges against the store personnel.
If they didn't print, then contact Catalina and have them send out the RR's. Then go back to the store and show the manager that the RR's should have printed out as per Catalina.

| Re: Walgreens - No more RR at one store in Houston I also agree that flying under the radar can be a good thing. I have some stores where I do one transaction and I am out. Others don't mind me doing multiples and I have a great relationship with them. I have no idea if that is what happened in this case. It should have no bearing whether the RR printed out, though.
If they claim they changed their machines to not print out that way, I would call Catalina, since it would have to be done by them. I would love to hear back what Catalina has to say about this. Companies pay them to have coupons print out. I can't imagine how the companies who pay them would feel if they found out that the deals they pay for are not being printed.
I have had cashiers tell me that a RR wouldn't print when I used another RR to pay, but the RR has always ended up printing. I kind of makes me wonder if the machine was working.
Please keep us posted on anything that you hear from Catalina or corporate.
You should be able to do a return. It might end up being on a Wags giftcard, though. Good luck. |

There is one store in my area that are total bungholes to deal with, and it sounds like it could be this particular manager. In the past, they have hidden the RR items behind the beauty counter without telling anyone, and they also wouldn't let me us coupons for hair dye because it would make it almost free. :hectic1: I will definitely be boycotting whichever location it is, regardless! |
