I'm SICK of my "friends" giving me crap about using coupons on FB

Okay maybe its because I'm tired right now, maybe its because I'm 7 months pregnant or maybe its because I find it just RUDE but I am getting seriously P.O.'ed with peoples comments about my couponing.

My 'friends' are basically making fun of my on my FaceBook wall when they respond to my status posts...and get this, the posts aren't even about couponing!:hectic1:
One post I was just venting about the power company inforcing the 2nd rate increase in about 4 months and they are already announcing there will be another in Nov 2010! WELL one of my 'friends' responds "Hey, why can't they make a power bill coupon? Lol"

and today I posted about all the spam I have been getting from my Craigslist listings and I get this "Spam... Do they still make it? If they do I am sure you have a coupon" from my husbands cousin!!

Maybe I am over reacting (a little!) but I think this is rude! If they think my couponing is funny or stupid or a waste of time they should keep it too themselves! I'm not asking them to join me while I shop nor am I asking them to clip coupons for me.

I should have to explain myself but I tried by saying that maybe if more people shopped like me, less people would be in debt and blah blah blah. I know it goes in one ear and out the other because these people in my life seriously think that saving money where and when you can is a big joke.

Honestly, it doesn't sound like they're trying to be mean. Maybe they're just funnin' with you & trying to relate to the couponing thing? I say this cause those are things I would personally joke about with my non-couponging buds. So, are you sure they're doing this to intentionally upset you?

once a week post a running tab of how much money you have saved using coupons. Then see who is laughing after a couple of weeks.

My DH ask me in person if there is a coupon for sex , or a coupon for so and so. He is just picking with me . I think they just might be picking with you. When my mom makes her comments she says them to me rather than comments and it was hurtful to me. So I have stopped posting the deals I was getting.

I'm touchy like that too so I get what you mean.

It really stinks when you work your tail off to save money and you get mocked for it. I'm sure they think they are being funny but sometimes getting picked on for something important to you gets old.

Keep your chin up and just remember that you will be laughing all the way to the bank with your savings :)

Good lord, don't beat anyone over the head with a 2 liter of Dr Pepper! What if something happened to it? Use a 2 liter of Sunkist or something. Either that, or tell them all to bugger off.

Or my personal favorite - unfriend them. Unfriending people from social networking sites is too funny because people take it so personal, like its the end of the world or something.

My husband once said, "I'm going to give you a coupon for sex, so maybe you will feel like it's a good deal!" hehe.

I think your friends are just trying to poke some lighthearted fun. You know what you are saving, so how cares?
