that's sad, I'm at loss for words, I'd kill someone if they did that to my kid, but 42 needles I'm kinda surprised the mother didn't suspect something was wrong.

Uh yeah, how could she not notice the puncture wounds, especially on such a young child. I notice every little thing on my 11 yo, every scratch, bruise, etc. And with a child this young she would be helping him with dressing, bathing, etc. It would be hard to hide the puncture wounds.
