    Default Fandango

I am really frustrated right now, I ordered tickets for our family to see A Christmas Carol in 3D for this weekend (Sat night) I had promo codes to use (a $25 gift card from taking surveys with Toluna, and a free movie ticket from their website for signing up for Gamefly) So I get everything done, enter in all promo codes, my credit card info etc. Well, it says there was an error. I thought no big deal, I'll just start over. Started over, only to find out the promo codes have been used and cannot be used again. So I call Customer service. I am thinking, this will be no big deal, they will fix it, and we will be all set to go. I was wrong. They say this is a really unusual error, that they have never seen, so I am thinking they will just do it over. Nope, they said they put a hold on my credit card, to see if it will go through in the next day or 2. Theres nothing wrong with my card and pleanty of money to cover the cost. They said if it didn't go through in the next few days, they would refund my money, but until then, they suggest that I go through and pay the entire amount with my credit card, since weekend shows in 3D sell out pretty quickly (well duh, thats why I was ordering them now) Then in a few days, they will send me promo codes for another movie. We never go to the movies, we haven't been in literally YEARS, we're talking almost 10 years now (besides the $1 theater) So the promo codes later on won't do me any good!!! She said well, you can always wait a few days, and see if the refund goes through, but the show will probably be sold out then, This is the day before Christmas that my dh and I will both be off of work (on Sat) and I really wanted this for our family, was SO excited, especially considering most of it was paid with Survey/Offer money, (since we literally live paycheck to paycheck) I'm just really frustrated!!!

    Thanks for listening!!

My question is if it did not go through why would they offer to refund your money? that dont make any sense to me..for if it did not go through there should not be any money to refund...

Sorry, was frustrated, they said they would refund the credits that I had, since they did go through, the entire transaction did not go through for some reason or the other, but what they said happened was instead of charging my debit card, it put a hold on my debit card?!? But the promo codes are now "used" that's what they were going to refund in the next few days, and the credit card "if" it went through

Sorry about all the fuss, but you will enjoy Christmas Carol. We saw it in the not 3D version and it was very good. This is defintely NOT Scrooge McDuck or something even though it is by Disney. It is the original story and the original dialog and parts are scary for small children. I knew that going in so wasn't too surprised my 3 and 6 year olds were on our laps the whole time. They did get the message of the story however no one had any nightmares and actually, my 3 year old was a lot more freaked out by our DVD of Aladin the next day than she was by Christmas Carol (the Genie scares her). I understand that in 3D it is more intense so if your kids are young, be prepared.
