| Re: $1,100.00 SOL Thanks to Paypal PayPal requires all of the following requirements be met to qualify for seller coverage when a payment is reported as unauthorized:
•Ship the item to the shipping address on the “Transaction Details” page.
•Respond to PayPal’s requests for documentation and other information in a timely manner.
•The item must be a physical, tangible good that can be shipped.
•Your primary residence, as listed in your PayPal Account, must be in the United States.
•The payment must be marked “eligible” for seller protection on the Transaction Details Page.
•You must have a Proof of Shipment or a Proof of Delivery.
From what you have said, the second, third, and fifth items were met. So we're left with the first and fourth as questions. The fourth is almost certainly met since I see you live in the U.S. So the final question is: did your DH ship to the address on the PayPal transaction page? If so, he should be covered, and you should call PayPal and ask why they are not covering you given you met the requirements set forth in the user agreement. If you shipped elsewhere, then unfortunately it is tough luck and PayPal will not reimburse you. |

Assuming you dont have automatic payments set up, as long as you dont try to make a payment to someone else and end up with a piggybacked payment to PayPal, they cant get money from you. They can and will send your account to collections however. |

Tess | Actually, it's not. Ebay requires that you accept Paypal on your auctions.

I had a problem when i sold on ebay,
I sold a cell phone and it was perfectly working when it left my house, buyer claimed it was in pieces when it arrived. (how a cell phone ends up in pieces is beyond me) but anyways, they put a "hold" on my paypal account. I couldnt pull any money out (which i had 0 in there) but any money that went in, was froze.
They couldn't touch my bank account though.
Since i had postal insurance on it, the buyer had to deal with that.
that was my last time sellin on ebay. to much crap going on now a days |

I thought i got a notice about that but i am not 100% if i remember it correctly | I haven't sold anything for a while now and always pay by paypal but I think you can still accept other forms of payments but you MUST take Paypal as well. I don't think you are covered with a moneyorder or check though. |
