Irate doesn't begin to describe me right now (tooth related)

Boy this has been a fun journey. I could *not* get the endodontist to contact me. Called multiple times, left messages, etc. The regular dentist wanted to hear what she thought about the pain that I wasn't supposed to be having before they reattached the crown so they canceled my appointment last Friday. I was not pleased. I played phone tag from last Thurs until YESTERDAY (multiple phone calls and both offices telling me "We'll call you back" but no I had to call them back and then they would tell me that so and so is not available aaaaaaah) and I am supposed to get reattached tomorrow. They think I just had more infection so after shelling out $40 for the generic of another antibiotic I am supposed to be good to go. We shall see. I would not be at all surprised if I get hit by a meteor tomorrow and have this appt canceled too. I just want to be able to smile without looking like I got sucker punched!

If they refused to talk to me I would have camped out in their office....thats just rude. You'd think they would want to help people out since thats their job. I'll be praying that a meteor does not hit tomorrow and you get this taken care of.

As much as I would have preferred to handle this in person, the endodontist office is 3 hours away. The regular dentist is almost an hour away. So dealing with them is phone dependent.

I did have it recemented today, and she actually placed it in so that it looks more in line with the tooth opposite it, if that makes sense. She did the best she could, but the problem is IT HURTS AGAIN :hectic1: It may just be from her redoing this (had to lift my gums up to put in a filler since the original crown was so bungled it wouldn't fit right and left a space) so I'm waiting til tomorrow to contact anyone.

But the regular dentist wants me to deal with the endodontist and not her since the endodontist did the resealing of the root canal and she needs to deal with the infections??? I have no idea why, since the regular dentist has already prescribed two rounds of antibiotics why can't she deal with it since I can actually get hold of someone in her office :hectic1: So if this is still infected who knows how bloody long I'd have to wait for another round to be called in since apparently the holiday season has made that office lose their ability to contact the people that pay them large sums of money to do their darn jobs!!!

I am hoping it only hurts from her recementing it because I think the stress of dealing with this is the reason my shingles came back. Yep I have shingles now too! My body is defective, can I return it for a new one?

I *have* to update this again. I'm still in pain after crown was reattached. I go back to the associate of the endodontist (since she is no longer in the practice) and he checks it for free. He can't see a problem so he takes a film of it. And on the screen appears something he has not seen in his 25 years of being an endodontist. While reattaching my crown, the regular dentist (the NEW one not Dr. Bimbo) has REMOVED all the material that helps seal the root canal somehow. Like I know nothing about dentistry at all and *I* could see something dreadfully wrong on the film. He called in everyone in the office to look and they were all just amazed at this. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh. I laughed tho lol. So he said he's going to try to work this out somehow at no cost to me since 3 months of rent has already gone into this; I just plain can't afford anything else.

The only permanent solution is implant but it's out of the question because of expense. Solution #2: I go to a regular dentist, have them remove this crown and in the same day drive back up there the 3 hour drive to have the root canal treatment done AGAIN, then have a new crown fitted and eventually reattached. Solution 3: Surgery thru the gum to remove the infection from the top and repack from the top, but the endodontist doesn't think that will hold the crown long. So we are going with solution #2. Which means several more weeks of pain and medication for me while we try to get this coordinated.

I don't really know what to think of all this. It's become comical at this point. Well except all the money there is nothing funny about that. And not being able to eat properly kinda cheeses me too, but overall it's funny lol. So this saga continues on until someone can do their job without screwing up someone else's work
