HOT I blew up today

I blew up at a cashier today. After reading all these other threads I now feel bad.

I went to family dollar to use only 2 snuggle coupons. Which is all they allow. Well, because I was getting the item free, and i already expected this, she started reading the coupon. She go to the "one per purchase" part...staring mubling, i said what per purchase was, she said something about legallity...um ok, after arguing with her for about a minute, she said she had to go get the manager.

At this point, because I have heard this so much, i had enought, this was the straw that broke the camels back, I snatched my coupons out of her hand...took my quarter that I was going to use to pay for tax, and told her that I was going to go to a store that would accept me and my coupon usage, I slammed open the door and stompted across the parking lot. My husband saw the look on my face and new something was wrong.

I am going to go to a dictionary online and print out what transaction and purchase means. It might help, but it might not. We will see.

I *HATE* when that happens! Trying to get them to understand "purchase vs. transaction" is nearly impossible. I pick things up, "I'm purchasing this, this, this, this, and these in one nice, neat transaction..." and they usually STILL don't get it!

Brick wall. You can explain it nicely, but if they don't get the point right away, it won't matter if you repeat the definition, including visual aids, numerous more times. Like talking to a brick wall.

It always put a thorn in my day when a cashier tries to difficult with coupon wordage. With coupon usage at an all time high, you would think they would start understanding some. I guess everyone is just checking and double checking to make sure they are going to loss thier job due to taking a coupon incorrectly. Sorry she chose not to understand that you were being correct.

This is why I only buy things like duct tape, roasting pans & light bulbs at dollar stores. They are the world's worse at taking coupons in my city.

It does help to call the DM, Katrina, but it seems like they change managers so quick that it's a never-ending battle.
