Obama aide fires back at Beck over Mao remarks - CNN.com
Quote from article:
At least now they are admitting they are anything but "fair and balanced." I have no problem with media outlet bias....as long as they admit it. Everyone knows when we you watch Faux news you're getting a conservative viewpoint.Fox News in a statement to CNN said its programming was comparable to the editorial page of a newspaper.
And gee, not surprisingly, the article begins with someone pointing out a Glenn Beck error. Gosh, that guy never gets facts wrong, he's always dead on.

I think any of the Corporate Media is biased toward Corporations and generally avoid watching TV news. All the cable channels do tend to be more infotainment than actual news.
I do think Fox is the worse in regards to overt bias but CNN is not much better. It would be much better for everyone if large a handful of international corporations were not allowed to own all of the newspapers, news channels, and magazines. Maybe then we could get actual news.

Here is the video that Glenn Beck was talking about. You can skip through to the comments that Anita Dunn made during a high school assembly of graduating seniors.
Just move the slider up to the 5.20 spot to see the video...
Glenn Beck - Current Events & Politics - Chairman Anita
Say what you will, but Anita Dunn does say in that video, from June of this year, that her "third lesson and favorite tip comes from 2 of my favorite political philosophers, Mao Tse Tung and Mother Theresa....." She doesn't say anywhere in that segment that she got the quotes from someone other than Chairman Mao. If she claims now that she did not say that, she's lying.
Beck has never claimed (at least any time I've listened to him) to be anything more than a commentator. He is NOT a news guy, although his show does revolve around news and is on a news channel. Rush, Sean and Glenn-all social commentators, entertainers.
I get my news from HUTC and Happy News (really look it up.) And if something major happens I'll turn on the news (like the flooding we had a few weeks ago.) And the weather....other than that, I try to avoid news. I'm sick of all the hate going on between everyone and prefer to stick my head in the sand I guess. I had no idea about the balloon boy until I saw the thread here.

But Beth..."I worry about the people who actually think it IS news though"...how is it any different?
