I agree. I don't have the time or the money to pursue a lawsuit. That's the part where I think this couple is taking it a bit too far.
Obviously this man has proven that he's not capable of performing his job properly. With all the negative press and publicity this has received, I'm sure he'll be (or has been) "re-assigned." He definitely should not be allowed to decide who can get married or not....that's the job of the state legislature. But take him to court and sue him for "mental anguish" and "pain and suffering"? I think that's a little excessive. They got married by someone else....not a lot of pain or suffering. Exacting revenge on this man and his family and trying to profit financially isn't really taking the high road.
