Default Mad at Kmart pharmacy prescription rebate

This really stinks!
I have very little extra money these days . My insurace premiums are over 600.00 per month. When i spot a transfer deal i take it. Rite aid gave me 75.00 in gift cards for tranfering my three prescriptions from walgreens. Walgreens sent me a check for 75.00 to use in their store if I transfered back which i did. Rite aid responded with two 25.00 coupons to transfer back so I did again. I spotted the coup to get up to 100.00 to transfer to kmart. Yeah I thought! Christmas Cash!
Wrong!!! According to them I was only entitled to 14.oo!! What where the Heck do they get fourteen dollars. Something in their fine print about you can't exceed more then what you pay for the medicine! Huh?? Mind you the retail price if I had no insurance would have been well over 400.00 but they claim my out of pocket expense less 2.00 "dispensing fee" was all I could get back in a gift car.
Kmart!!! You can shove your crummy gift card.

They also have fine print that says ANY partial or full state funded insurance is ineligable for this...I understand for people that are on welfare (i could see some going to the doctor and just getting scripts for gift cards), but my dad WORKS for the state, and they wouldn't give him the gc....and of course, they wait until AFTER they fill the prescriptions to tell you this....

I understand your frustration, those prescription transfer offers seem to be very vague with their restrictions. But at least the next time CVS or Walgreens puts out a prescription transfer offer you can move your scripts back again.

yeah, mayanfire, I WORK for the state also and they dont give me the full amount, either. I'm disappointed  but consider it $ I didn't have before I went to Kmart. kwim? Last time I went in I was able to transfer the amount on my gift carda (from rx transfers) to the Kmart christmas club card. So I end up with the amount they gave me for the transfer plus 3%.

Ya'll are lucky to have offers at all. They haven't existed here in almost a year.

I don't really understand it either. When they had the $25 per prescription we transfered my hubbys nasal spray there. We have a $10 copay and the medicine is like $50. We got a giftcard for $11.xx...??? Umm, okay. The pharmacist was so rude, too. She couldn't really explain why I didn't really get the $25.
