Nope-- wouldn't buy the doll..
I came across this on another site...
What a doll! Bebe Gloton, a breast-feeding toy for children, makes sucking noises as it 'feeds'
Would you buy it for your daughter or son?
Is it really appropriate?
I, personally, am a bit too shocked at the CONCEPT to make a clear judgement. :shrug7:

Before I looked at the actual doll, I thought it was a doll that breastfed a smaller baby doll. I thought it was meant to be helpful in an older sibling's (preschool age or so) adjustment to mother breastfeeding a new baby. That's just weird. If a child felt the need to imitate (which is totally natural) they can just hold a regular doll to their chest as I'm sure children have done for ages. This just crosses the line of weird and unnecessary.

Oh my!! How bizarre. I would definately NOT get that for my child.
My friend has 3 dd's, the first two walked around 'nursing' their babies. Ds#1 at 3 1/2 nursed his teddy bear after seeing me nurse his brother. They all 'nursed' over their shirts. I don't see the big deal, other than it making the noise, I've seen kids/toddlers 'nurse' their babies a lot. I wouldn't promote children attaching doll's to their boobs but i don't see anything wrong with children pretending to nurse. I gently explained to ds that only mommies can nurse their babies and daddies use bottles :)
Character: how well you treat those that can do nothing for you and how you act when no one is around to see.
