What's wrong with macaroni & wienies?

My beautiful wife thinks I am weird because I grew up eating macaroni and wienies. It's made with the regular Kraft blue box macaroni and cheese, then you take hot dogs and cut them up in little pieces and mix them in with the macaroni and cheese. Our kids absolutely love it when I make it, but I always have to hear my wife groan and complain she's fixing to throw-up just smelling it.

So please tell me there is someone out there that has heard of doing this.

I don't see how that's gross. Do she think cheese on hot dogs is gross? As in chili cheese hot dogs?

You are not alone. My hubs won't come within a mile of a hot dog. Cooked, uncooked, still in the package. He wants nothing to do with them. And I'm talking the premium ones!

Heard of doing it? Of course me and DH both make that combo for the kids. It's just like hot dogs in speghetti O's or My favorite Hot dogs in Baked beans! Mmmm ;-)

My hubby eats this all the time so do the kids. I can't stand it and call it orange death.

eh i dont even like boxed macncheese (unless its velveta)......my son doesnt like it either.....we prefer homemade macncheese......my daughter likes it.....gave 2/3 of the stockpile of the blueboxed stuff away to mom for little sister and my aunt

i dont like hotdogs typically.....unless they are all beef and even then i cant eat em in macncheese......not even homemade

Hey, I make it "for the kids" every time my DH goes out of town! Of course, I hate to leave leftovers hanging around so I eat what's left just to keep the refrigerator tidy, KWIM?

Mac & cheese with cut up hot dogs sounds good.I cut up hot dogs an put them in BF noodles.I put hot dogs in every thing.Eggs w/cut up hotdogs. Noodles w/hot dogs.My son eats them plain w/o bread.There is always a pack of hot dogs in the fridge.

I've eaten it before when I was younger and will probably feed the little ones it as well. DS already like hotdogs (gotta love free OM Hotdogs, lol).

DH, on the other hand, will eat Brats but won't touch hotdogs with a 10' pole, lol.
