I have actually never thought of hot dogs with mac and cheese. I do fry hamburger with onions and put that in mac and cheese. I also make it with tuna and they both go over big here. My 7 year old just said he has had mac and cheese with hot dogs when he was up north with his uncle and he liked it. I guess I will try it this week for lunch.
