:shrug7: Todays Kmart Trip
The cashier I went to (the only one open) was training someone in and she still didn't do it right. All the coupons I had were high$ and my total came to $7.68 I told her that wasn't right and she argued with me saying that I 'already saved $12 with coupons' she scanned all the coupons so it has to be right. I asked her to clear it all out and I would go to CS.
So I brought everything over there and showed the lady (who looked to be a supervisor) the coupons I had and told her what the prices were of each item ending with "I should only be paying the tax on all these items." and she said "well they aren't going to ring up any different over here!"
So I tried explaining it again. She came back with "well you have to pay tax on these items." looking at me like I'm stupid (well duh, didn't I JUST say that?)
I said, "there is no way $7.xx is the tax on these 10 items. Could you please just try and ring it in yourself I know thats not the right total"
Determined not to do it she says "well if the coupons say DO NOT DOUBLE they wont double". So I show here that none of the coupons say DND (I mean come on I am not an idiot and I am not a theif). "well I'm just trying to tell you the reasons why your total is what it is, so I don't need this crap!"
WHAT? I wasn't even being rude! Dumbfounded I just stood there for what seemed like forever...then finally said "Your reasons don't make any sense though. My coupons cover the prices of these items so it should only be around $1.00"(and once again went over the prices of each item, the prices of the coupon and the amount that they doubled to).
Without saying anything she rang everything it and then scanned the coupons. "Well now its $1.35. Is that better?" Politely I said "much better". And the lady says "she must have just missed a coupon".....Ya think?! try a couple....which is weird because I swear she scanned all the coupons the first time.
It's like, Yeah its better because its 'just around $1' like I said it would be

Would it kill them to just listen the the customer the first time? Ya know sometimes 'we customers' know what we are talking about. But seriously why did they both have to be so rude to me? I was just trying to get my deals and blatantly explain to them that something wasn't done right. Why is it when ever there is a mix up "on the stores part" the employee's always treat and look at the customers like they are stupid and we don't know what we are talking about?
Was it wrong of me to get upset by this?
