He'll definitely be able to get unemployment - I know the teachers in this diocese are entitled to it. Are there any other schools in your area he could go to?

OMG, I'm so sorry! Try to take a deep breath. The first thing he should do is apply for unemployment, the sooner the better. Surely he can find a teaching job with 9 years experience. Just take a deep breath, we're all here for you!

I am so sorry to hear this! Our county has to let go of 128 employees. I have been fearful for myself as well as my co-workers. Just remember, when one door closes, another one opens. You will be in our thoughts and prayers!
