Is the Iced Coffee part of McD's McCafe or not??

I went into McDonald's today to finally get my iced coffee with my coupon buy one get one Free. I am an iced coffee addict and I can never find time to get to McD's anymore to get one and love them. Well, I was told by the cashier when I ordered it that I can't get the iced coffee, but I had to get the Iced Latte. I said what is the iced Latte. She told me and I said no I want an iced coffee. She said I couldn't use the coupon. Huh?? She said the iced coffee wasn't part of the McCafe that it was just regular coffee with ice. I said well the picture on the coupon has a picture of the iced coffee and the the main pic on the flier has the iced coffee. She said it didn't matter that it wasn't part.

After I left I looked into it more and knew I was right. The other coupon where you get a free iced coffee with purchase of large sandwich calls it a "McCafe Iced Coffee". The cup says McCafe on it. Also if it wasn't included you would think they would put that on the coupon since it says excludes premium roast coffee. The problem is McDonald's has a list of McCafe drinks in front of the cash register and it doesn't mention iced coffee. Then some advertising shows it and some doesn't. Well, I just emailed the company and told them they need to clarify this and I wanted to say train their employees.

They sale both Ice coffee & Latte's here.Some of the stores don't have the new McCafe machines.They sell only Regular Ice Coffee.The ones with the new machine sell Ice Latte's with whip cream.The regular Ice Coffee does not have whip cream.I don't care what they call them as long as it's got coffee in it.Have my own cappuccino maker so I make my own.Unless BF is buying.
Sorry they gave you a hard time using the coupon.

Well, there going to have a hard time with me because I got in the mail from Valassis a McDonald Coupon Booklet. One of the coupons for their booklet is a FREE Medium McCafe or Iced Coffee (All Day).

I haven't heard back from McD's yet. Still waiting... I'm sure it is part and that the cashier was wrong, but I waiting to hear back.

The thing with McDonalds is that all the stores are franchises. That means they don't all have the same products or same prices or same offers. If you really want to use it, try going to a different store.

I finally got a response, but it just said sorry that you received bad service and that they will contact the franchise owner and they also notify the McDonald's consultant for follow-up.

Okay so the franchise owner finally contacted me! Two weeks later and they oh no one has contacted you before and I said nope and last week McDonald's sent me a survey and I was pretty mad when they sent it so I gave a lot of bad marks. Well, she said she'll call her supervisor to see if the Iced Coffee is part of the McCafe or not and call me back. She called back and said it's not, but that the cashier should have honored it anyways. She's sending me some coupons though, but I still disagree. Why does it say McCafe all over the cup and why does the other coupon say McCafe Iced Coffee. I think I should drop it, but I think corporate needs to establish this fact and not the franchise. Either make it separate or keep it part of it.

Okay so I can't let things go!!! I called the corporate again and she said no the Iced Coffee is part of the McCafe menu. I said okay this is ridiculous. I said corporate and the store owners need to be on the same page. She said she'll work on it. My dh said he can't believe how much time I have spent on this today for a $2 iced coffee, but that's not the point.
