Good for you - there is just no excuse for that type of behavior.
Oh I am fuming! I just watched a lady drive away from the liquor store next door. There was an approximately 6 month old baby sitting on the front passenger's lap! GRRR!! Put the child in his rear-facing carseat (in the backseat) where he belongs! Big deal if you don't care about your own safety enough to wear a seatbelt, but who's to blame when that poor child is embedded in your dash board or thrown out your windshield? I did just call and report her to the police. I hope they find her & ticket her lazy butt.

Well, that's just weird! What was she doing at the liquor store in the middle of the day with a baby?
I bet she was looking for vodka to make homemade vanilla. I bet she was.
We used to have a phone number particularly for this issue. You could call in the license plate and they would be sent a letter. On the second offense they had a cop go to their home. It was pretty effective, but got cut in the budget cuts.
I work at a hospital with a major trauma center and see the disatrous effects of this on a regular basis. Besides death, the rate of head injury, paralysis, etc. is horrible. I am in Psychology and I am usually called in to evaluate cognitive functioning, and most of the time I have to do "therapy" with the staff who are distressed and very angry at the parents of the children who were injured.
Did she leave the baby in the car to go in the LIQUOR store?

Yep yep, I would've called the cops and gave them her plate number also! Good for you!
Now... this vanilla thing? Alcohol AND vanilla, these are a few of my favorite things (you have to sing that part!).
