    HOT HORRIBLE HORRIBLE horrible experience at Wags........

    I'm more of a lurker here than anything, but wanted to share my experience at Wags today.


    Holy cow.....

    I seriously get harassed for using coupons, in serious ways!!! Today's experience tops them all!!! Cashiers & managers do not have to like coupons (for whatever reason), they can hate them all they want. BUT, I think these girls have forgotten what customer service is AND that without regular customers, such as myself, THEY WOULD NOT HAVE A FREAKING JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ok, here's the story...

    I have 3 Wags that I shop. I hit 2 of them tonight. My second visit was to Wilsonville. I've always had descent service there and have been pleased with the Manager there. I went in expecting descent service. Well, the girls working tonight are... cady...to say the least.

    I wanted to find out if the Fiber Plus bars catalina would print in Oregon because it is not in our circular. I was on a mission today to see how much I could get with only $5.00 oop. By the time I got to this Wags tonight, I had under $2 left. SO, I asked the cashier if I could purchase the bars with a catalina and if I didnt get a new cat back, could I return the bars and either get my catalina back or exchange towards my actual purchase. The cashier obviously didnt know how cats work so she called the manager. The manager came and was rude off the bat. She informed me that if it was not in the circular, I would not get a catalina. I explained that it was working elsewhere and just wanted to try it. it was obvious that she didnt want me to try it, so I said 'ok, that's fine, lets just take it off. I dont want it'. She walked away and I figured all was well, did my other transactions and left.

    I picked up my daughter and mentioned that Special K was on sale. She BEGGED me to go get it, it was on our way home (and i had to go potty) so we stopped. We walked in and towards the back. As we walked through the store, I noticed that the manager and another girl were in the middle of the store together. I went in to the restroom and my daughter stayed out. When I came out my daughter was PISSED. I asked her what was wrong and she told me that when I went into the bathroom she heard 2 girls talking. Their conversation went like this...

    girl1: oh my god, she's back.
    girl2: who?
    girl1: the BIG one

    !!!!!!!!!!![IMG]http://www.********.com/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif[/IMG]!!!!!!!!!!!! they called me fat!

    I told my daughter not to worry, that I would take care of it. We grabbed the cereal and proceeded to the front of the store. I informed the cashier that I wanted to talk to the manager. The manager came to the front of the store and became a bit nervous when she saw me waiting for her. She asked what she could do for me. I asked her what the problem was. She got more nervous and said she didnt know what I meant. I again told her that I wanted to know why there was an issue with me. Was it the coupons or me? She began studdering and said there was no problem. I then explained what my daughter had heard. She was now very flush and VISIBLY nervous. no joke, this is what she said 'No one said that. I was in the front of the store the whole time and I'm the manager, I'm professional'

    I informed her that my daughter had NO reason to lie to me and that I wanted the names of everyone working because I would be calling the Store Manager, District Manager & Corporate in the morning. SHE WAS SHAKING!!! She said she would write her name down because she had nothing to hide. I couldnt take it any more! I finally had to tell her that the way she was acting kind of said otherwise. and that her demeaner said ALOT.


    CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?????? Hate my coupons, fine, I dont care. say stupid things about couponers...fine, I dont care, you ARE stupid. but, seriously...say RUDE/HURTFUL things about your customers??????? really?


    I'm sure that she doesnt even think about the cameras in the store. I'm 100% certain that the video would show HER and the other girl TOGETHER towards the bathroom when I went in and my daughter just out of sight from them.

    I'm trying to decide whether to go IN to talk to the Store Manager in the morning or call. I think talking to her in person will have more impact.


    I'm SOOO angry!

    Same here. Not surprised at all. You have every right to be upset. Have you tried calling the DM of this store yet?

    I always call the DM whenever I get issues at any of my WAG. It's the only way problems get solved. Good luck.

    awww that stinks that happened but so good for you sticking up for yourself!! i dont think i could of did it...probably would of left and just felt stupid and embarassed and would never go back...good for you keep us posted!

    please PM me if I owe you feedback...also I LOVE EXPIREDS!! Especially 75/1 and frees and any expired hot coupons you may have no use for (gatorade, johnsons, chinet, electrosol ect ect) please PM me to trade!! I have cash, stamps, or maybe even your wishes :)

    Wow, I would have tore her a new one if I were you. Normally in these situations, I would say contact the store manager. But for something personal like this, which is highly unprofessional, I would go straight to the district manager. I would notify the store manager about the situation and let them know that you will also be talking to the DM about the terrible experience you had. I am pissed for you!! All these stories just reinforce why I don't shop at Wags anymore. I have my own horror stories from there. It is obviously a chain wide thing with them.

    they have all sorts of not so nice things to say about couponers in many stores. i would be so angry too. that was ridiculous

    Congrats on staying calm and classy during a messed up situation. I would've been so tempted to pitch a fit. Something to the effect of "I can lose weight.. but you can't fix stupid."

    However, really.. I mean.. they called you the "big" one? That's the best they could come up with? Not anything really good? :shrug7:

    People are jerks. Be proud of who you are and SCREW em. Personally.. this FATASS would just let it slide. It could've been so much worse.

    that's awful. I was told at Victorias Secret one time that I should not waste my time in the Black Friday line because I was "too large" to wear anything. HELLO! I was about 8.5 months pregnant at the time with DS. I was waddling and everything, but that should not have been said. The manager that said this to me was no longer employeed at the store when I went back the following January. I did write a nice long letter to corporate that netted me a $50 gift card and a written apology.

    Definitely talk to someone about this. totally unprofessional!
