Whenever an article is posted from "Canada Free Press," many assume the author is Canadian. Actually, CFP's contributors, including Mr. Williams, are Americans whose conservative viewpoints are unwelcome and unpublished in this country's liberal media.

I was a little disappointed by this article. He keeps pointing the finger at democrats, but not all 546 of those pigs are democrats. His message (which seems good in some areas) is drowned out by this anti-democratic rhetoric.

I wish he had kept it party-neutral, because really both parties in Washington are at fault for whatever the heck is going on right now.

I keep wondering when Obama and his robber barons are going to stop blaming Bush every chance they get? Things have gone from bad to worse under Obama's administration.

Americans are losing 50% of the 401k's and Obama says "he will not base policy on what he called the “day-to-day gyrations of the stock market" makes me wonder about his competency for the office he holds.

What brought on the "great depression"....the stock market crash of 1929.

Obama has only been in office 45 days. Everything didn't happen in the last 45 days. Many Americans were losing 50% of their 401K's even before he took office.

When are republicans going to stop blaming Obama for everything that is happening? I don't necessarily like everything he is doing either but I am not so blind to say none of this was happening before. People need to look back only to Christmas time to remember things weren't all fine and dandy.

As derketchup has said, it's not just the Democrat's to blame for this mess, it is all parties involved.

He hasn't been in office long enough to cause that much damage. He's been too busy cleaning up the mess caused by Bush and his daddy with all these unneeded wars!

Do you know what you started? I just came here to party!

Oh good god! Do you realize how ironic this statement is? I assume you are Republican? Obama wasn't in any kind of position to get us in to this mess by himself, let alone in the past 45 days.

Bush was around for EIGHT YEARS, and Obama has been around for 45 days and all of the sudden the States are going to hell in a handbasket? PUH-LEASE!

Actually, Obama had the ability as a Senator to introduce enough legislation if he had really wanted to do something about the economy. So to say that he has only had the opportunity to "fix" this for 45 days is stretching it just a tad. But, he would have had to actually been doing his job as a senator and instead of campaigning to actually get anything done.

I never said Obama is solely responsible for this economy ("from bad meaning Bush to worse Obama).
    Have you seen this demontration?
Comparison of Bush's federal deficit versus Obama projected federal deficit.

Obama's budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, adding more to the debt than all previous presidents from George Washington to George W. Bush combined.

He certaintly doesn't have a clue how to fix it and in fact is making it worse. The "rich" in this country create jobs and when you go after them you see what you get in the stock market. The unemployment rate is sure to keep climbing with Obama's policies and that won't help the average American.

Okay, so Obama was sworn in as a senator in January 2005 and two years later announced he would run for Prez. Tell me how you are going to blame all this on Obama for the first 5 years of W's term. I'd like to hear that one!

The economy wasn't bad those years for the most part. Of course, there was a downturn after 9-11, but unless you are saying that Bush planned for it to happen, or didn't do anything even after knowing about it, you can't push that on him.

This major downturn started with the mortgage industry. Liberal democrats (for the most part, and probably not exclusively) encouraged everyone to buy a house, regardless of the ability of the buyer to actually afford a house. When Bush and others questioned those in charge (Barney Frank and others) claimed that all was well... Obviously that was not the case, as Fannie and Freddie have shown us that.
