My 9 year old son and I were watching Happy Valentines Day Charlie Brown when suddenly it's interupted for a breaking news story. Before the commentator said what the interuption was about he said, "If you have children in the room, have them leave now." OMG, I'm thinking we're getting attacked with atomic bombs or experiencing an major catastophy which could jeopardize our safety, but no he announces that Whitney Houson died. Seriously? Do you think it was necessary to make it sound like it was a catastrophy you were going to tell us about. Idiot guy.

You all know how I've complained about the dog next door lately....this is kind of a vent, but also kinda humorous to me...

Background...we've had a possum hanging on the electrical lines and in the trees lately in the backyard so the dogs go nuts when they see it. Well tonight we've had a combo of sleet/rain/snow, not gonna stick. It's not even freezing temps yet.

My dogs have a doggy door so they come and go outside as they please. A few minutes ago the dogs are outside barking like nutter jobs again, I know it's the possum again and I go to the door calling them trying to lure them inside with treats because it's 9pm, don't want them to get too muddy and track it in the house. All of a sudden I hear this female voice yelling "IT'S SNOWING OUTSIDE! GET YOUR DOGS IN THE HOUSE!!!" My dogs aren't the only ones outside so I'm sure it wasn't ALL directed at me but I found it kinda irritating and humorous all at the same time. Whoever it was obviously doesn't know me at all!

Who knows what her problem is, it's not like there are always dogs barking outside! Two of mine love the rain and snow, one I can't get to go outside to save my life! And when there are critters outside harassing and taunting them can ya blame them for barking at them? And just so ya don't have any doubt my dogs are spoiled, they were outside adorned in their MASH army shirt and Who concert t-shirt!

Ha, take a chain and tie one end to something, run it along the ground, and bury the other end in the snow near a frozen water bowl. Maybe pile the snow into a lump a little. See how much she's really paying attention.

You are too funny! I'm sure she's only irritated because whatever TV show she is watching is being interrupted by animals doing what's natural in the background! Obviously she is not an animal owner!

Me, too. Had to cancel and appointment in Rochester I've waited a long time for cuz I can't get out of the driveway. I hate New York.

To my Darling DH,
Thank you for deciding to do construction in the cellar right below the oven, while my cheesecake for the bake-off was baking. Fantastic. I love cracked cheesecake. Also, thank you for bringing home potato salad with ONION from your mother's, and putting it in the fridge with my cheesecakes. I thought i was making white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, but you turned it into cracked onion flavored instead.
