I'm not saying yes or no because I have to find out more about it. Just curious for those of you saying no, what are your reasons?

As far as passing it down to our great great grandchildren, that may be the case but we will never know. Just like there are things that have happened in previous generations that have been handed down for us to deal with. Unfortunatly that is the way it is. Somebody comes up with a bright idea and everybody down the line has to pay for it. Maybe if our great great grandparents didn't invent banks, cars and corporate jets, we wouldn't be in half the mess we are in. Come to think of it, why did they ever invent money in the first place???

My dad's had just about the same amount of problems w/ his new "American made truck" that is 2 months old. Every time I go in to the dealership for repair the waiting room is full of people owning new cars. What i am trying to get at is that the last "bail out" was to help sorry car companies that couldn't produce a decent car. I could go on and on about this car, but that should be in another hot under the collar section.
We have a Chevrolet Equinox and a Chrysler Town and Country that are lovely (never been in the shop once). However, we did have a Toyota that went to the shop for tons and tons of problems - there was never a time when the car had no problems whatsoever.

I will say that from my family's experience, Dodge and Chevy do tend to be made a bit more cheaply (especially Dodge). We are big fans of Buicks, Jeeps, and Chryslers though - they always last and aren't insanely expensive like the foreign cars around here (for some reason, they never go on a good sale. It's always like $2000 off a $30,000 car.).

Woops! We're talking about the stimulus package aren't we lol? I got carried away with the car convo. I am a definite nay on the stimulus package. It's just costs too much money that America doesn't have!

NAY for me as well. It's gotten to ridiculous for my blood.

My answer is for it to collapse and then let the pieces fall where it may. We have far to much corruption and greed for any bailout to be worth while. It will defiantly stink but at least we won't have to pay for for many years to come.

SO far the ideas are horrid........ Thought it was a stimulus to create more jobs across the country, not a bunch of std hooey along w/other hooey.

They are doing something. And that's everyone said they needed to do. Something. It's not going to fix anything. It might help. Doubt it. Too many people have already decided it's the end and blah blah blah. There is NOTHING to fix this any time soon. If someone has an idea that they think will work....email or call whom ever you need to, to get the idea in someone's head.
I have no clue if I am Yay or nah because what they are trying to get done won't even effect us for many months or years.....ask me again then. :)
