I almost broke down in tears at Bath & Body Works.

This is important to my story.
I went into B&BW a few months ago and they had gift sets for half off. I picked up one for my cousin. The bottom of the set said $7.50. I wasn't sure if that was with the half off or not. I asked the store manager and she said it was $7.50. I went to check out and I asked her how much (as in how much is my total)? She snapped at me, "The gift set is $7.50." I then said, "I meant my total" which she then told me. She made me feel so embarassed for even asking.
Ever since then every time I go into B&BW, she pretends to be nice, at first, but by the time she's checking me out (some how she always checks me out), her claws come out and she gets snippy and condescending towards me until I'm red in the face from embarassment and ready to cry.
The above story is the only reason I can think of why she has started to be rude to me.
I already emailed B&BW about her treatment towards me.
I don't want her driving me out of the store, but I'm about ready to throw up my hands and walk away.

I really don't understand her hatred. :sad:
I've always been nothing, but professional and nice towards her.
She used to work at the B&BW near my store and when I no longer saw her there every time I went in there I was so happy, but when I walked into the B&BW at the other mall and she was there, I was sad.

You are letting her get a huge ego trip every time you go there. She knows she upsets you and she thinks she's better than you when you do that. Next time you go in there, don't go alone. Let the other person check out for you and eventually get up the confidence to look her in the eye and not let her intimidate you.

If it happens every time you go in, I would just say to her "I don't know why you feel you must speak to me like that. What have I done to warrant this treatment?" Call her on it, I bet that will stop it (or you will find out what her probelm is). Then if it happens again you can call corp. and tell them you have spoken to her about it and it continues and they need to step in for real this time.

If BBW's corp does not correct this situation to your satisfaction, boycott the company. No company can afford to anger any customers now.

My husband encountered a similar attitude at Victoria Secrets. He used the $10 to purchase socks. The clerk left the security tags. He went back to the store. The manager was very petulant and egregious. She refused to remove the tags.

He was so mad. He called corporate. VS's corp paid for the postage to send the socks to their offices to remove the tag. A $30 gc was sent and about to arrive.

You really need to get a tougher skin. So you asked the price twice? So she told you but in a snarky way? Toughen up. Why do you care if a sales clerk is snippy and condescending? You're letting her take up free rent in your head. The second time she did that to me (if not the first), I'd stop shopping there. It is Bath and Body Works, not the only food store for your family. You can get that sort of stuff at a hundred other places.

So, a) don't let her upset you so much and b) don't continue to give you hard earned dollars to people that treat you poorly.

WHAT? i didnt know that!! GRRRRRRRRRR i refuse to shop victorias because of how they view women!! i hate thier stores policies of NOT CARRYING certain size bras period andbeing told MY size i could order from the CATALOG. like they are against LARGER women wearing thier products. i guess i will use up my bath and body works gift card and never shop there again. i am very very against the company. dont even get me started on thier treatment of breast feeding women.
