How can it be January 3rd and ALL the "free after ECB deals" for January are sold out? How? I had to get rainchecks...

...and I still have rainchecks from a lot of the stuff from Black Friday. :sad:

Is this CVS not ordering enough? They have to realize that there is HUGE interest in these sales. Its not like they can't honor rainchecks, KWIM?

I have noticed with the Black Friday raincheck items that there isn't even a space on the shelf for some of the items. The Excedrin 20 ct doesn't have a slot and neither does the Arm and Hammer cleaner. I think some of these items won't be restocked.

And don't get me started on the Complete Solution.

When I popped in today, the January books had not arrived yet, the NasoGel was not on the shelf, and the asst manager had never even heard of it. I always find it a little unnerving when I am more familiar with the CVS deals than the folks who work there.

On the plus side, I did finally find those Garnier cleansing cloths from BF.

I went out by noon on New Year's Day, and 2 of the 3 CVS stores I went to only had 1 throat cooler and 1 nasogel. They were well stocked at the 3rd one, but it was aggravating having to drive. The closest store is TERRIBLE for stock. They were out of AAA and AA batteries during the Duracell deal by the 2nd day of the sale. I got 2 Arm & Hammer cleaners, because dh went out shortly after midnight. The store only had 4 total.

I feel your pain! I'm sitting here working out my deals for tomorrow, to include some monthly's and just knowing it's hit or miss because my CVS is a 24/7 and it's a busy one! I just roll with it the best I can and if I can't get a deal, oh well...I'll just burn any expiring ECBs on products we need. Ya win some, ya lose some.....

I hear ya. I went on Jan 2nd at noon, and there was nothing but bare shelves where those products originally were.

I actually found the throat coolers at my 4th stop. I hate going to that one because they don't hang the tags on the shelves and, being new, I get confused enough as it is. I guess it has it's upsides though, there is always plenty of stock.

My local stores are out of the monthly items too. I asked for a raincheck on the throat coolers and was told that I could not get a raincheck when it was a month long deal. I told th clerk that I had in the past. She checked with her manager. The manager told me they could not give rainchecs for free after ECB items. I told her that I had gotten them before. I asked her if they could print there ECB like other stores. She told me they could but were not sure how. I told her the number in () below the product info in the booklet were there for that reason. She then tells me I wondered what that was there for. lol Anyway, thanks to this site, I knew what as going on. Needless to say, I did get my RC.

I really wonder if some stores don't restock on purpose. The Complete Contact Solution that was FAECB was sold out the entire month of December. Sure enough, Jan 1st and they were back on the shelf. I really don't think that's a coincidence. Rainchecks are an option, but I still have a Bic Soliel Raincheck from Black Friday that they haven't restocked yet.

I think it's just that this hobby is becoming more and more popular. I don't think you can really blame them for not restocking on January 3rd. I'm actually surprised that this early in the month you were able to get rainchecks. Relax everyone, you still have 28 days to do these deals.
