I'm confused. Are we not allowed to post ECB Previews?

I'm confused. Earlier today I posted a thread called "CVS (3/8/09 - 3/14/09) Ad ECBs!!!!" Now I see that the post has been deleted or removed in some way from the CVS page. However, all my writing in my original post has been copied into a new closed thread called "CVS 3/8-3/14 Sneak Peek".

I've posted in the Wags forum before and it wasn't a problem there so my question is are we not allowed to share CVS ECB ad deals? As in do we have to be a moderator or an admin to do so?

I wasn't trying to break any rules by posting it and I even said at the end of my post that it was just to help others with planning their deals, so I'm wondering if I made a mistake in posting them. I just want to make sure I'm not breaking any forum rules.

Please advise.

First thanks for the early heads up! That gives us plenty of time calculate the deals. Anyway, I hope I'm not stepping out of line by writing this... but the Mods have been trying to give the CVS a fresh look/feel based on contributors comments [see thread below...titled "A New Year? How about a new look for our CVS Forum?"]so I suspect the moderator has been following thru on the changes based on the comments listed in this thread.

Ahhhh! OK! Thanks for that! I thought I might have made a faux pas.

So I guess we can still post the deals, but they will be re-vamped? Maybe...?

Another reason could be that its so far out, that something is bound to change. I remember during the summer we had some realllllly early peaks posted and some deals didn't come to pass.

It is due to the new look that the moderators are going for. I personally do not like it and it makes it a little more difficult for my postings of all the ads and ad scans, but I will adjust with the flow. Your post was removed and remade under a mods name with the format that they are going for. There is nothing wrong with posting the ads :)

I can see how this new change would negatively affect a great ad poster like you Stratusxp.

It does not allow others to rep you for the great work you do.

Hopefully there can be a change/script programmed so that if there is a new ad/sale preview we can all click on something and have the format, poll, etc automatically placed in the correct spot while allowing the original poster to receive the credit for actually posting the deals.

You deserve it.

Totally agree with specialk1st. If you do the work, you should get the reps for it! That's quite a bit of time spent for others and there should be some way to reward that.

I posted a thread as well and it was taken over by a mod with no credit to me for posting it.....
If they want to revamp, they should at least give credit or something IMO...but my opinion may not count for much

I've repped both of you.

In my experience the mods here are amazing and really work hard to make sure that people get credit for what they post. I'm hoping that they can figure out a way to improve the forum and make sure that the right people get credit. Hopefully this was just a glitch that happened because of all the changes that they are making.

They have posted a link to a post of mine previously and may have done the same for your ad post. They DO take every measure to try and give credit where it is due. I have discussed this with a mod already and have established that my posts will remain as post #2 in the thread. It's not really the rep issue that I am worried about but more of me having access to my original thread or post, as I constantly update and make changes to a lot of them right up until that ad Is the active one.

If it is taken over and nothing left behind then I have no access and the link may be dead or old that they copied, or worse have horrible quality pics :) So Not sure but that's what they should do for every poster that posts a new ad. Edit the post and keep it as #2 in the thread.
