I'll also note, there are lots of parts of the forum that have nothing to do with deals I can get in my area that I think clutter the new post section beyond belief ***cough...cvs...cough***. It takes me a bit to find what I'm looking for too amidst all the other forums for all the stores that have nothing to do with stores I shop at. My screen has 50 threads per page in the new posts section. Only 3 of them on the first page right now are HUTC, and a huge chunk of them are CVS. So it's not like HUTC threads are somehow blocking people from finding deals. Blame it on Cuz and the CVSers out there....
***leaves to go find a few deals at Albertsons in the NW section of the hot coupon world***

And when we've beat this dead horse, can we PLEASE go start a 3rd thread in two days where someone wants to crab about their HCW pet peeves or that they hate part of the board? Really, I shouldn't even engage in these conversations cause they make me want to beat my head against the wall.
And no, we're not going to change the colors for anyone either

Ya know.. this is a FREE website that Hotcouponmama and Queenofthehivemomof5 have generously started and shared with all of us. No one makes you read any portion of it.. if you don't like some of the topics..then don't read them.. if you're here strictly for the deals.. then go to the store forums and don't bother with the rest. I personally like the fact that we can also discuss topics other than couponing.. makes it more of a family to me.. I like knowing that if I have a problem outside of my coupon deals I can post and have several ears to listen and shoulders to lean on. | |

You see, OP, we can pick and make fun of ourselves b/c well, life is life, and nothing is so huge that a laugh can't fix it.
A community/family has more aspects than just the one topic (i.e. coupons for saving $$). I have to have interests to use the $$ I save on (travel deals, finance, savings, etc.), I have to have places to brag out the $$ to saved (Lotta brags forum), I need to be able to talk about my pets flea problems (paws and claws and that is my forum I mod and we definately talk more about pet issues than deals in there), I need a place to share my stockpiles I got from saving the $$ (classifieds, auctions), and occasionally I might want to use some of the $$ I saved to help others (HHH, relay for life, etc.). So you see, like a family is more than just is members, our on-line community is more than just deals...
We are here to lend a hand to those hurting
We are here to pick each other up when we are down
We are here to voice our opinions on all sorts of topics
But most of all we are here because we want to be here and take the whole ball of wax as part of the way to get the deals on coupons.  stepping off my box now
