Bad Trader List Updates

Quickly putting in a word or two.

In a nut shell when you type the words "I agree" in the box you are agreeing that if you scam members out of trades...your stuff is going to be listed.

Make sure you know what you are agreeing to, otherwise don't sign up.

That all being said there will be a change in further emails. We will be instead listing the username and a link to the listing in the bad trader forum so that only trader or trader in training group members can view the details.

So that it truely is only trader/trader in training members that can view and the details can not easily be forwarded to non trader/TNT members.

I think this will still help get the word out to our GOOD traders and solve some privacy issues.

But again if you are in the trader or trader in training usergroups you have agreed to allow us to share this information with other members in these groups. If you don't wish to ever have us list your information you need to either not join these usergroups, ask for us to remove you from these usergroups, not give other traders your real address and use a PO Box or something, or not have unresoved bad trades.

Our bad trader mods work very hard to get trade issues resolved. Most trade reports are resolved in a timely fashion and no one gets listed or anything. We are not punishing honest mistakes or mail delays. We are listing habitual bad traders that do not wish to fix the trade problems within the 2 week time frame (2 weeks before they are reported, 2 weeks to fix the trade....thats 4 weeks grace period)

We take into account posts that members have said I am sick, my kid is sick, my dad died. We also try to take into account hurricains and other weather situations that affect certain areas (we try, its not always easy to remember who has been hit and might be without power).

There is a lot of time and effort into getting these things fixed so that no one will be listed. But when there is someone that refuses to fix a bad trade or all of a sudden we get hit with 6, 7, 10 reports on the same person in the same day...we take notice and try to act swifty before others are effected. Sometimes we wish we had acted faster because as anyone will tell you, I feel very strongly about protecting our great trading community.

If you would take the time to read the entire thread you will see I stated several times that I was not sticking up for them, wasn't making excuses for them, wasn't playing the devil's advocate, etc.

Sorry for your feelings but I'm certainly not going to lose sleep over them.

Thank you hotcouponmama for your gracious & patient explanation of the issue - I do have a much better understanding of the "why" now and definitely see others' point of view (which I've also stated a few times in this thread). I do realize this is a big problem and I, like many of the people who have posted, don't really see any other way to go about this. Of course I *wish* there was another way for privacy issues, but I do see at this point there isn't.

I hope I have made my POV clear now. I don't know how much more clear I can be.

I think that this thread was a bit atacking to the OP. She has an opinion about the email, and you know what? Thats OK. Her opinion made me think a little bit about how we can still send the information out to our traders without putting all the identifying stuff in the email.

We will still do the list, that is not going to change but there will be some minor tweeks to the email however.

So that being said lets not argue back and forth with one another over this. And in the future if you have issue with how hotcouponworld is run we would appriciate a PM or email.

I agree! I think we should all feel comfortable here posting our opinions and not get attacked if someone doesn't agree. We all should watch what we post online b/c even though we may not mean for it to come out nasty written stuff has a way of sounding nasty compared to saying it.
