Sorry, McCain is the real moron, he couldn't even pick someone intelligent for a VP, talk about wanting to stick it to the Americans, what happens if he crappie's out in office with Palin as VP? The whole reason he didn't want to do the debate to begin with is because he wanted to reschedule it for next Thursday and knock out the VP debate because he is now ASHAMED he picked Palin and they can't get her ready in time, she is NOT a quick study! I can't wait to see that debate, that is going to be REAL interesting, I will be ROFLMAO!!!!

Thanks for the update. I went to bed before it was over. I woke up wondering if I missed any zingers. It looks like I did.

I like the guy but feel that he's definitely in over his head thinking he can run our country with the little experience he's had with responsibility.

It's kinda like....in a big family crisis would you want your wise grandfather making decisions or your younger brother???

OK, yes Obama didn't do well in this debate. In fact I laughed out loud several times.
I think that McCain did a fine at making Obama look like a inexperienced child.
Obama is a good speaker but when he's on his own and has noone to call him out on the things he says right in front of him.
Several times he'd say something and then McCain would laugh and repeat what Obama said and then Obama is over there saying that's a lie and I didn't say that. Hellooooooo! Yes you did we all heard you and McCain is standing 5 feet from you and heard you.
Did anyone get the I smell something stinky look on McCain's face? That's because Obama was saying he never said what he just said 2 minutes prior. I mean come on we are listening to the words that are coming out of your mouth, as distorted as they are we are listening.
And for those that think Bush would not have done well in that debate. PLEAZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Bush would have chewed him up and spit him back out and then laughed in his face over that debate. Please go back 8 years ago and watch the debates between him and Gore or even him and McCain.
At any rate, I don't personally like either candidate. I wanted Guliani and would've picked Huckabee over these two any day.
But with McCain as President I don't fear for our countries safety or finances or our standing with other countries. With Obama I fear I am going to go to bed one night and wake up to a country in either a civil war or over run with Al- Qaida. His comments about decisions being over his pay grade make me laugh. Helloooooo again you would be the President no decision is over your pay grade.
And exactly how is he going to cut taxes to 95% of the people when they have to raise taxes to cover this bailout plan?
I can't wait for the VP debate actually at least we will see a fairly equal debate stance. It should be very interesting and enlightening and probably not as funny as last nights.

Night, you are so far off in left field with this post it's not even entertaining. But I'll bite nonetheless. Were you aware that McCain has repeatedly asked for town hall meetings wth Obama? That Obama has repeatedly declined? Obama is not comfortable speaking off the cuff; that's a well known fact.

Did you listen to the debate last night? If so you'd have heard McCain brag on his VP candidate. And as for the woman being a quick study, let me see. She's gone from City Councilwoman in 1992 to Vice Presidentail candidate 16 years later. Quick study? JUST A BIT!

The debate last night s a draw...

As far as getting things wrong...
McCain didn't even get the name of the Pakistani president right...his little story about Eisenhower was off....a ton of things...

I amnot going to sit here and call either one of them a MORON. IMO, that is ridiculous....

And the whole bracelet thing? Of course McCain got it right. He uses it in EVERY SPEECH. Its a political tug for him. Obama doesn't make a day in and day out point of using dead soldiers for political gain.

I have been both a Navy and Army wife (same DH, two branches)...McCain's blubbering that he loves the troops was sickening. He has repeatdly voted against veterans benefits (but they were fine when he got them) and money for the little extras like body armor. He would be a disgrace to be commander in chief. Too bad Obama didn't nail him on his voing record for this...would have been facts and no much McCain could have said. If McCain didnt vote for the bills because of the pork atched he should have inroducted legislation himself,

What I got out of the debate was a sense that Obama was being honest and realistic while McCain was being the typical politician.....promising us the world without looking at the realities (of course, there are people who would totally fall for that!). Obama was gracious enough to state things he agreed on with McCain and instances where McCain's policy/view/action was or is right in his view. As far as I heard the debate, (the baby was constantly interrupting!) McCain never reciprocated. My gut feeling with McCain is he is shrewd, calculating and will do/say almost anything to get the presidency. And, if he does, it will be a continuation of the last eight years, which to me, is just unthinkable!
