Years ago my ex worked at a car wash..in a very snooty area.. I was helping him out one day and this guy pulls in and gestures to the back of his vehicle and says "Wanna get that cell phone antenna?" We did not have to remove them, it was the owners responsibility..but being new.. I just said I wasn't sure how to take it off... he leaps out of his car and says in a very huffy tone.."For the benefit of allllll the other cell phone owners let me show you how it's done!!" Much later (cuz I never think of good comebacks at the time) I realized I should have said.. "Well for the benefit of allllll the other car wash attendants.. let me show you where to put it !!"

ahh let's return again to the large midwest all you can eat buffet. I have to say first and foremost i am an EXCELLENT waitress. i know it, my regular customers knew it. My boss even knew it, but didnt like admitting it much. even at an all you can eat because we get tips we only got minimum wage. very annoying. so every blessed dollar was pretty important. it was a friday night. it had been HECK that night. it was about an hour to close and a man and 2 "ladies" came in. I used to live in the inner city. Let me tell you, they were no "ladies" less you call them ladies of the night if you catch my drift. clothing trash talk attitude and behavior towards the man kinda said it all. but even so. not my life, not my business. i served them like i would anyone else with a smile and cheerful attitude. BUT as they left. i CAUGHT one of them stealing my tip off another table that had left just before them. I asked another server to get the manager and i followed these folks out and wrote down thier license plate number. well the lady who took the $ saw me and got back out of the car yelling racial slurs at me likeyou would not believe. a couple i had never even heard before, but looked up online later! LOL she wanted to FIGHT me? can you beleieve it? DID I MENTION I WAS LIKE 9 MONTHS PREGNANT AT THE TIME!?! yeah. *snort* nice huh? she was yelling "#$! what you gonna do 'bout it? huh? huh? !@#$!@ what? " her friend grabbed her and held her and i calmly finished writing down her description while i was at it and walked back inside. i was near the door and some co-workers had come out as well so i didnt feel actually threatened enough to RUN back inside.

    get this though
My manager would not let me call in a complaint to the police. yeah, he said that she was still a customer. and i should not have gone to write down the plate number. cause as a customer she is always right. and they would not have supported me working thier further if i called in a report. i kinda needed the money. but between this and the BF incident you can see that things were not going well with this job............

I work in an office setting. And let me tell you about my rant this morning to my husband. We here have what I refer to as the office mooch! Guy who never brings anything in but is always looking for other people to bring something in, buy him lunch, share their snacks, etc. We rotate each week someone brings in something whether it's a dessert or maybe a lasagna or some chocolate. Anything!! And we all share it. It's informal because most people are really good about bringing something. It's been at least since Christmas from the last time this guy has brought something in. And there's only 10-12 ppl here! I've tried every tactic I can think of. I've even outright embarrassed him saying "next week is YOUR week, let me know what you're bringing". Never...anything. :hectic1:

Do you know what you started? I just came here to party!

That is awful! The manager seems to be a jerk. I would have asked him to pay me out of his pocket for the lost tip then since he did not want to report it. What a jerk!

Is there a way to make sure he doesn't get any of the treats? If he sees that he cannot get any without sharing then maybe he'd change.

If everyone agreed that this bothers them, then you should all tell him, when you all are eating the treat "You can't have any, you haven't shared in providing your part"
Or give everyone their own treat, including him...only his should have some stool softener in it.....

I use to work in the intimate apparel department of a major (now defunct) department store. The return policy was fairly liberal, and people would often try to return bras that had been worn for many months and say they were defective. Many times we could spot if the bras were actually defective and would have no problem exchanging them.

Well, one day a lady tried to return a a bra she had been wearing for FIVE YEARS!!!!! It was filthy and torn. I didn't even want to look at it, let alone touch it! I explained the return policy and tried to tell her she was lucky it lasted her that long, but she thought bras should last longer. Unless you own a bra made of steel or you hand wash and hang dry your bras, bras are not meant to last 5 years. She finally gave up after a 20 min discussion, but worst of all she left the bra for me to dispose of. Gross!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eeewww! Yeah, that is pretty nasty. I don't think I've ever had a bra last 5 years and I don't put mine in the dryer, either. Well unless dh decides to "help" me with the laundry.
