The exact same thing happened to me only I wasn't over there very long. I just kept reading "This was taken from HCW" over and over. I assumed HCW was a pay site so I didn't bother to research.
One day on a whim I decided to google HCW. I was curious about the price of such valuable info. That's how I found this place. It made no sense to read copies from HCW when I could join HCW free. |

| Re: Can I complain about another grocery site? The biggest difference in most of the coupon sites on the net vs. ours (and we do know they're out there) is that they've been developed by programmers and computer people who have never used a coupon to buy a box of cheerios a day in their lives. Heidi and I (and I know all of the mods) would just as likely run you over with a shopping cart for the last box of free cheerios on the store shelf. While we might not be perfect, and I know there are people out there that think the set up of the board is odd with the user reps, infractions, etc. we do strive to keep it organized and legit and from the perspective of fellow deal hunters and not computer coders/programmers who want to charge for lists and such.
Our motivation lies in the fact that if we have a great running site, we get the same deals you do for our families. I think I spent less than $200 last month for groceries and that's because of this community. The extra money I saved went into my backyard fruit and garden project. So for that, I thank everyone who shared deals in my area! And Heidi and I are right in there trading coupons with the rest of the members. We use the board the same way you do. I think that's what really makes the difference - by couponers, for couponers.
And we just think information should be free and easily accessible. We certainly appreciate that our members support the site by shopping through the links we throw out there, but we want you to keep your money in your pockets, not buy lists from people that, if taught, you could make your own lists just as easily with the weekly paper.
The last piece of this is that our mods and members are generous with helping each other - the community piece of what we do is priceless. So we hope the list buyers figure out eventually where we are and don't have to talk about mushy pink elephants anymore and can just say that Colgate at CVS is free with this or that offer. Makes life lots easier!

| Re: Can I complain about another grocery site? I am so lucky that other site didn't pop up when I googled for cvs and coupons.
I am one of the few ones on here that didn't know about coupon swapping and coupon websites. I learned about "doing cvs", behind a lady that got oodles of stuff for like a dollar. Went home and started reading what ecbs were and learned about coupon swapping.
I had a cvs card since they opened around me, but never had rolled an ecb. Never got one, because I didn't go back for it after the 24 hours.
Found this place and it opened up so much to me. Wine tags, mir on groceries, trading coupons, stockpiling on free after coupon items/ rebate items.
I use to be happy saving $15-$20 a month with my local inserts and $15 going to dollar general to buy dh's sodas. Now I expect to save at least $500 a month between coupons, sales, not having to buy because of stockpile items and mail in rebates.
Yep, I WAS one of those that spent 200-250 a week on groceries for a family of 4.
