Can I complain about another grocery site?

I still belong to the other for a few more weeks. I'm currently "testing" myself by making my own list using the info here at HCW, then I'm matching it up after the lists come out to see how close I got. So far, things look good. If it continues this way, I might be adding myself to the "ex" list.

Just make sure you cancel in time. Also, make sure that you hit "oK" at the end of your cancellation or it will not be valid. I did the trial and cancelled two days before it ended, however, I failed to hit the "ok" button and they charged me for a $35.00 membership (I was trying out all the stores). When I emailed them and told them I only wanted to keep the membership for one store, they would not reimburse me, but they said "as a favor to me they would allow me to do 20 weeks (instead of the 8) " at the one store I wanted.
I then discovered this site and I get sick to my stomach everytime I log into theirs....I'm stuck until December 30, 2008. Please learn from my mistake. I don't want anyone wasting their money.

I think it stinks that they did not refund you. I don't think I even want to chance a trial with them. I don't think it would do me any good anyway as no stores around here double.

How do I subscribe to the forums I am interested in esp the grocery ones? Also on the otyher site it is easy to see what a hot deal is because of color codes. How can I tell what is a really hot deal here?

Dogwood, hot deals here are going to vary because not everyone thinks they're a hot deal. We don't have a 'hot deal' area for that reason.

All of the store forums though will note which deals are HOT for the week, and in reading through the threads for your stores you'll find the hotties as well.

When you open each forum at the top you will see a tab that says "Forum Tools" Click on that and a drop down should appear with one of the options being "subscribe to forum". You can choose to get e-mail updates if you want. I choose the no-email option because it's just WAY too much e-mail for me to keep up with. Once you're subscribed that forum will show up in you User CP with the most recently updated thread and you can also go to the forum right from you User CP.

As far as how to tell if it's a hot deal, that's going to be different for different people. I've never gotten free paper towel for example, so a deal less then .50 per roll is a hot deal to me. People in other areas may not think that's too hot because they get it for pennies or free. There are some deals that will be really hot to everyone and you will know it by the responses. These are deals that involve overage, free or nearly free items. My general rule is that it's a good deal if I'm saving more than 50% off the retail price. It's a great deal if I'm saving 65% or more and it's deal I stock up on like crazy if it's free or giving me overage to pay for my other groceries.

so i went to that crappy paying site, attempted to register, validated my registration threw my email......tried to post a few times (the first being a simple q about something) deleted....tried to post again...deleted......asked another q ....deleted.....attempted to do a siggy there of "its a hot coupon world out there" and then got PERMABANNED........ and got NO reason as to why...gee ya think it was my attempted siggy line???? lolololol

The first three or four of your posts there are moderated before they're actually posted, so that may be the reason you didn't see the first ones...

I have also had trouble with the lists from that website. I would get all my coupons together with my list and go shopping; only to find when I got there that half of the items they listed were NOT on sale at the store that week. It was such a waste of time to go through all of that every week. However, I have had trouble finding a list for the grocery store I shop at that is free. Some suggestions for SC?

What store do you shop at? I'm in NC, but we have some of the same stores. Food Lion is one that's here and in SC and we have a very active FL forum here at HCW. If you shop at a store that's not on HCW then you can ask for a new forum. If there is enough interest from others that shop at your store they will create a new forum. Somewhere there is a "request a store forum" thread.
