Can I complain about another grocery site?

NHines said they pay their mods....so the overtime pay would cause the membership price to soar, and then more members would be receptive to checking out HCW and saving MORE money!

I have to ask now - what is the big deal about putting the name of the "other site" out in the open for everyone to see? Lots can figure it out, but what about the ones that can't and unknowingly waste their money continuing their membership. To me that is not much different that mushy pink elephants.

I am pretty sure I am a member now . My trial is up the 30 of this month. My question is where are the weekly deals on this site. I did nt realize there were any.

I think there is a BIG difference between the censorship here verses there. For one thing, this place is free but it's not a non-profit organization. Heidi and Julie have to feed their kids and keep the site running. They chose to do so by making money off ads instead of forcing people to pay for info. Saying they have to do that and ALSO allow discussion of a competitor is like saying a mom-and-pop-run grocery store ought to allow people to tack up flyers for Walmart at the entrance. And I mean absolutely no offense to Heidi and Julie by comparing HCW to a M&P, what I mean is that you have a home-town, friendly atmosphere here and you care about the members, whereas Walmart wants to make money by herding the customer in and out as quickly as possible. Both stores, however, have a right to refuse advertisement of competitors on their grounds.

This is exactly why the name isn't required. People can figure it out and even if they are a member of a pay-site other than what is being discussed in this thread they will soon figure out that HCW is better because it's free.

You can get the weekly deals and even unadvertised deals that people post by going to the store forum for each store in your area. HCW works by members participating in posting about the deals they find. You can save yourself time by suscribing to the forums you are interested and they will show up in your User CP. I check all my store forums and then type up my list by store in an excel spreadsheet. A pen and paper would work just as well.
