I mark my q's with a highlighter, before I hand them to the cashier. I mark the q's for easy identification. If the cashier missed my some of my q's I can say - "Mine have the highlighter mark on them". Makes it easier for them to fish through the coupon bag.
This happened just last week when I used the silk ip.

I also know what my total should be or close enough to know if they missed some q's.
I check the crt before I leave.
The csms can give you money back after cs closes. I have gotten my money back "after hours" 2 times now.

The cashier missed some of my $2/2 q's the other day, and b4 that a cashier missed some of my ip on silk.

Some coupons say "One coupon per item purchased". It makes it so clear. I wish they would all do that.

I still carry around a Coupon that says " one per transaction" to show them.

I tell them, If the Manufacturer wanted per transaction, they would've put it on there...see.

Hi Everyone! I can tell you from working at Wal-Mart that the policy is up to 40 coupons per Transaction or else the CSM has to override it. Like I do at Target, I choose my cashier carefully. Chat them up and get them joking with you(usually the young ones) by the time you get to the coupons they don't even care. I took a $33.00 order down to $1.29 using coupons with overage. J&J buddie bars are $0.90 at my Wal-mart and I bought 9 of them, and had the $5.00 off of Zantac which was $3.86 and got that overage as well.

Best Advice to tell everyone is to print out their coupon policy and bring it with you. They can't agrue their own policy. Has saved me many times!!

My advise is to contact Walmart corporate office regarding this and explain your experience. I had a problem with them not price matching other stores ads as they advertise. I explained that I had a cake on order with them but had no problem cancelling the order and purchasing the cake somewhere else. I received a call back for the corporate office and from my local store with the name of the Manager that if I had any other problems to ask for him personally. I also asked that all employees at our store be retrained on this policy (again not sure it happened, but I haven't had a problem yet) Thankfully, I have never had a problem with coupons and my local Walmart (doesn't mean it won't) but it is my experience...the squeaky oil gets the grease. Hope this helps.

I go into Wal-Mart as little as possible. Five minutes in there, and I have a headache even if nothing has happened! I have begun giving my coupons to cashiers in groups and telling them exactly what each group is for. That way they know what I'm doing, and I can keep track of what has and hasn't gone through! Also, if there is a problem with one coupon, I don't run in to the problem of the cashier putting down all my coupons and losing track of where he/she was with them!

I dont have a choice but to shop at walmart. There is no where else for me to shop.

BUT after all the OP went through I would have called the service center in bentonville and gotten SOME satisfaction.

I found 3 of those and I had 2 Kashi coupons for $2.00 off and a Honey bunches of oats cereal for $2.00 off and a Ragu pouch for .75 off, and BOGO Sierra Mist.

I found all the stuff for the coupons and had 2 items not with coupons. I went to check out happy that I would hardly owe anything. The cashier ran all my stuff through and then started putting my coupons through.

When it came to the 3M freebies he said you can only use one of these. I said what do you mean only one. He said the coupon says only one per purchase.

I said "I don't think that is right but take the other ones off then I don't want them if they aren't able to be used with the coupon" so he voids off the other 2 and I give the people behind me the coupons.

They were happy and I was getting upset because I thought the cashier has to be wrong on the coupon purchase. The total for my stuff is $12.84 with the coupons all used for my items.

Which should of been no cost except for around $2.00 out of pocket. I paid it and then stopped and looked at my receipt and saw no money off for the Sierra Mist.

So I went to customer service. That's where the next incident happens.

The girl says you can't use all these coupons for this stuff, it is one coupon per transaction! You've got to be kidding me. So your telling me that I can use one coupon for all the things I bought.

YOU ARE WRONG! She said it is per purchase/transaction, the coupon tells you one per purchase.

A CSM showed up, I said I used coupons for my items and they missed giving me money off on the Sierra Mist, they had someone go get the coupon from the cashiers drawer so I asked her what is the rule on coupons?

She said you can use only one coupon for your items. I said so your telling me if I buy 10 bags of diapers and I have 10 coupons I can only use 1 coupon for all.

She said yes! You would have to do 10 different purchases to use the coupons. Unbelievable! I got my money back on the Sierra Mist and left.

I knew something was not right with the total I paid for the other items, so when I got home I wrote out the cost of each item and then subtracted the coupon for each item purchased.

They were overcharging me big time, so I got back in the car and went all the way back with my items back to the same girl and made her go through every item I bought. The cashier had recharged me for the 3M products after he had voided them out.

I requested a manager, but she didn't show up, she sent the CSM back to talk to me. He told the customer service girl to handle the problem. She went through and hand rung up every item I bought and then did the coupons and they owed me over $12.00 back.

I was sooooo stressed out by this time I told the CSM I don't like coming here bacuse every time I use a coupon there is either an over charge or the coupons beep.

What IS your policy on coupons? I think you need to look at your policy and get it right, because I just wasted $10.00 in gas coming back here and it is always a hassle over coupons. I don't think it is good when people are trying to save a buck that they get hassled over coupons. So what do you all think?
ive actually had the same problem i absolutely hate wm

Default Re: Walmart! Not Worth It!!!! Purchase Vs. Transaction When Using Coupons

I don't shop at Walmart anymore for several reasons. Some of which I will not highlight here.

1) My Walmart deliberately violates corporate's coupon policy. I have been told by a CSM that they do not accept ANY IP's because they look fake.

2) Customer service said they would not cash my Western Union money order because it could be fake or stolen and there is too much fraud (this happened to me at Kroger with the same money order, too).. So, basically, I felt like I was being accused of stealing a money order that I rightfully received as payment for something. I finally was able to cash it at Jo-Bob's no questions asked corner store.

3) One night, I was bounced around from register to register because the cashiers were in too much of a hurry to go home to take just one more customer before they cashed out. I waited behind a customer or 2 in one line and I had 3 items and a debit card to pay with, nobody in line behind me.

I'm just done with Walmart altogether.
