Major RANT here, I am so darn sick of it__the news! the gas prices, the people loosing jobs

Ok. Then, the OP has no cause to trash companies that use cheaper, non-union labor to bring us consumer goods at the prices we demand.

I'm not saying I'm happy about it. I'm just saying that US Corporations are just giving us what we (and the government, by virtue of our tax structure) have asked for.

The OP is "sick of it"? Well, we reap what we sow.

So, the corporations aren't guilty either? It's all on the heads of the consumers? Surely the hitman is just as guilty as the man who hires him...

I'm not disagreeing with you...however you can't get blood from a turnip. The OP and anybody else can rant on and point fingers if it makes them feel better since that is the point of hot of the collar. I'm sure we all have differing opinions on who to blame. I think buying American is really only one small part of it. We as individuals can only take so much blame...the government has the power to effect changes that we don't.

Oy! We have waaaaaay too many "business-friendly" people in office as it is. The US is less and less "by the people for the people" and more and more "which corporate-sponsored lobbying firm will buy me lunch/golf/vacation today".

After we let NAFTA and the farm bill collapse the corn market in Mexico, putting business back in Mexico is fitting, if not ironic.

Honestly, I have a degree in political science and I don't know who to vote for...and if I can't figure that out, I'm not sure how the average American is going to know who is right for the job!!

Further...once we elect them, we have very little control over whether they are actually going to do what they promised.
