How old are you REALLY?

Ok i had a very rude comment made to me today and i am now very curious to see what the "median" age is.

I had some older lady tell me "You young folks don't know how to save money. Thats why the economy is the way it is"

This stemmed from me spending 20min in line at target because i handed over 60+ q's for the girl to ring. She made a comment on how "Them paper things don't mean anything but tieing up others time because you tie up the check out!" I said yes they do they save me money! Thats when she decided to say what she said grrr

Now i have respect for everyone. I treat the elderly like i would treat my grandparents.

Her, ahh i could have slapped but didn't.

So on that note please answer the poll!

I wasn't sure how to vote. I voted 30ish, but I am closer to 40 than to 30. Does that actually make me 40ish?

I do agree with the cashier, but not in the context she was using it. For the most part Americans aren't good with money. They buy expensive houses, cars, electronics, clothes, furnishings and then when times get tough they cry and want someone to bail them out. But if you are one that is clipping coupons and being careful with what you buy, then it was just plain silly of her to lump you in with the non-savers.

It sounds like her idea of "saving money" is not to buy expensive things you don't "need", not to try to save money on the things you do "need".

i dont think it was a cashier but another customer and even if Americans are not good with money people do not have the right to say anything to you like that. people are rude and they have no respect for others anymore. Everyone is in a hurry to get nowhere and if they have to wait 2 seconds then oh my goodness!
Id have had to been rude and disrespectful back though and said well obviously you old folks dont know anything about manners!
